On one of the riot streams the guy got video of a cop being shot (and killed I think). He claimed one of the networks was trying to buy the footage. I think the offer was $8,000 and if I wrong, I am on the low side of the amount. No idea if he was being truthful.
ETA: I think it was that Reggie incognito guy. Someone else may have seen it and remembers the amount.

I would have thought that some video, that went viral, and was on network TV all over the world, would bring in a lot of usage fees, like airplay for songs on the radio.
If Helen is a stringer, she'd likely own the copyright, and be the most likely to make some money. But still photos in the internet era... not worth a lot, especially if there's free or inexpensive video of the same event.

Back in the day it would have, when it was only TV broadcasting. But now all the instant celebrities and "like" whores slap everything on social media making it fair use for networks who don't have to pay you shite to use it.

Another Denver television station, KMGH-TV, reported it has hired security through Pinkerton in the past and that Dolloff provided security during a U.S. Senate debate it hosted Friday. It said it had requested guards be unarmed, and no guns were visible at the event.

Funny how the News station at the heart of the murder is also the one with the most "coverage", and i love how they're "reporting" on their own activities leading up to, during and after this like they are impartial.
