Left Eating Itself - Patagonia vs Pattie Gonia

I saw Patagonia issued a statement to try to clear up confusion regarding their lawsuit and the Alphabet People are eating them alive. They all way to boycot and destroy the patagonia gear. Siding with this demon instead. You can never be LEFT ENOUGH for the left.

quote:
A Bend-based drag queen who markets merchandise under the name Pattie Gonia went on the offensive Wednesday against corporate retailer Patagonia Inc., alleging the company is trying to silence her as an activist in its federal trademark infringement suit.
In January, Patagonia sued Entrepreneur Enterprises, doing business as Pattie Gonia Productions, seeking $1 in damages. The suit is pending in federal court in Los Angeles.
The retailer urged a judge to stop the online marketing of Pattie Gonia clothing and other goods, contending the drag queen’s company is trying to compete directly with the Patagonia clothing brand’s trademark of more than 50 years and confusing consumers.

Why even sue then?

I'm assuming cease and desist was their biggest ask here.

They want the critter to stop, and want to appear to be playing very friendly since they try to suck up to the alphabet folk.
That isn't working based on all the comments.

These people are disgusting.

A lot of the progs wear fratagonia.
It’s a weird web of victimhood going on and they will all sort it out.

As an aside, Patagonia makes some extremely high quality combat clothing for Special Force troops. They don't advertise that fact.

This trans person has a brand to protect and stopping means stopping their existence in perpetuity.
Patagonia stole the name from the region and its people and is profiting off of that theft. These comments are delightful.
Patagonia's statement has my favorite idiotic line of the month so far.

There’s a lot going around about the lawsuit we filed in January to protect our trademarks, and we owe you an update.
We wish this lawsuit had not been necessary, and we want to acknowledge any hurt it has caused, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. We don’t want to argue trademark law on social media. Importantly, we continue to want to resolve this.
As we have said to Pattie Gonia, we can do that if they:
· Withdraw all trademark applications
· Stop using our logos
· Stop selling and promoting apparel and other products as Pattie Gonia
If we can agree on this, we can work out everything else, and Pattie Gonia could continue as a performer and activist. We share common ground with them, including the goal of saving our home planet and creating a more inclusive outdoors.
The outdoors is not inclusive enough? They are basically saying AIR isn't inclusive enough.

Wtf?
How can you so callously say that?
Yes, just make all trans people cease and desist existing!
My wife's boyfriend said you are disgusting and not an ally so you are therefore transphobic!
Even your name is transphobic.
Y A Tittie.
Why not a tittie. You are obviously misogynistic as well. Supporting the patriarchy by questioning the existence of titties.
I have told all my co workers in the coffee shop in Austin about your post. We are all offended. All 3 of us. We demand an immediate apology.
And just for the apology, we use xie/xir for your convenience because we can about everyone, not just cis white males...

Take a good long look at that fricking guy, then try to understand how anyone could possibly view him as a serious person. My goodness

Some of you older folks may remember Judy's hamburger chain. They had about 15 restaurants before Wendys sued.
It was a clown show, the restaurant layout was exactly the same, the menu, training, everything.
Wendys won and they shut down the Judys.
It was like McDowell's in the movie Coming to America.

To protect their brand by showing they have defended it - heaven forbid something even more detrimental comes along.

Not true. They use a sesame seed bun. My bun has no seeds

You serious Clark?
Exactly how did they do that? Pull up in a bunch of rental trucks and steal all the signs?
