I've thought this since Biden got elected from his basement. It holds true. We live in an insane fricking world that imprisoning Trump without even stating which federal crime he committed is even on the motherfricking table

You underestimate how much control they believe they have over the American system now. You under estimate their arrogance. You underestimate them having the seat of power right now. They intend to never give up power again, Trump 1 was too dangerous. I am about 90% convinced they believe if they put him in jail thinking people will finally come to their senses and snap out of his control. They really do not realize that MAGA existed before Trump going back to the Tea Party. They just do not understand that MAGA will live on beyond Trump. The movement is not about his cult of personality, it is about those who believe in American's history and founders. Vance or Ramasami could be the next Trump.

There are 4 things that can happen between now and September 18th.

1. NY federal court grants Trump’s request for the case to be moved to the federal court based on presidential immunity per SCOTUS.

2. In the pre-sentencing hearing on September 16th Merchan declares a mistrial. (Right thing to do but won’t happen).

3. In the pre-sentencing hearing on September 16th Merchan decides to move forward with the sentencing on the 18th. That afternoon Trump files and appeal with NY state appeals court to stay the sentencing.

4. If one, two or three don’t work, then we move on to sentencing on the 18th.

4a. Mechan sentences Trump prison time but suspends the sentence until after the election.

4b. Merchant sentences Trump to just probation as a first time offender of breaking NY book keeping laws.

4c. Merchan sentences Trump to prison and sends him directly to prison to serve his time.

IMHO Trump's going to spend some time at Rikers Island. If they can put him there to do some jail time, it would be a great opportunity to have him killed.

Listened to a Nicole Shanahan interview today. Her experience: This group running the Democratic Party does not know how to change gears. They will double down.

Many paths to not be in jail and only one to be in jail.

The odds heavily favor no jail.

The last part about police staging a sick out makes me think it may be a BS story. That’s awesome if they are backing him like that, but it seems like one of those stories where they tell you there are 3 truths and 1 lie and the lie is really obvious within the paragraph.

It is what it is at this point bc they’d not only be locking Trump up, but they’d also be locking the election up for him as well.
