It seems the weapon needed to destroy Russian ballistic missiles before they launch is already available to Ukraine. It only needs software upgrades to allow the weapon to be used by F-16's rather than legacy Soviet jets. Too good to be true? Maybe, but it's better than scratching for unavailable Patriots. Far better.

A better and faster solution is to enable Starlink over Russia. Trump could do it with a phone call to Musk. Today.

NEW: The Russian tourist who allegedly tried r*ping a cow in Thailand, may be forced to join the war against Ukraine.

Evgenii Kuvshinov went viral after he tried r*ping a cow.

Kuvshinov was reportedly so distraught about his girlfriend dumping him that he begged Donald Trump and Vladamir Putin to help get her back.

"Mr Trump, please get me back my girlfriend."

Kuvshinov reportedly moved outside of Russia near the beginning of the war in what appears to be an effort to avoid being conscripted.

Kuvshinov will now likely be returned to Russia meaning he may be forced to join the fight against Ukraine.

The Russian was sent to the hospital after the incident with abrasions and wounds to his backside.

The Khrastovo Wildberries facility seems headed for total loss. If you want some idea of the economic impact, there are about 80,000 people who worked in the various Wildberries facilities that have been destroyed.

Except the major changes will occur far sooner than ten years from now.

ISW reports a Russian drone upgrade, confusion in Moscow, and little activity on the front lines. LINK

quote:

Key Takeaways

An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated in central Moscow City on August 1, potentially targeting Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) Commander Colonel General Alexander Chayko. It is unclear as of this writing if the explosion killed or injured Chayko.

Russian forces are leveraging new jet-powered Banderol loitering munitions and Geran-4 Seeker drones in their strike campaigns against Ukraine’s Black Sea port infrastructure and railway infrastructure.

Ukrainian forces recently struck multiple oil refineries, a strategic bomber base, and a Wildberries warehouse in Russia.

Neither Ukrainian nor Russian forces made confirmed advances on August 2.

Russia launched 133 drones against Ukraine overnight.

Seems to be a massive breakdown in Ukrainian defensive lines in the Dobropillya direction

Could be a really big deal because if Russia truly breaks through it will allow them to flank the defensive lines to the east of the fortress cities. Note movement in the northeastern portion of the front in this map and see post below.

So Ukraine's 40 day operation has ended, Russia has not yet mobilized but is seemingly having more success on the front than they've had this year so far.

Not sure how much of it is Ukranian manpower issues vs Russians changing tactics to increase effectiveness.

Ukraine has consistently stayed ahead on the innovation curve comparatively, but if you only read pro-Ukraine sources you'd think Russia doesn't innovate or at least doesn't respond to innovations at all. At the end of the day they still want to more or less brute force themselves to victory because that's what they've always done, but I hope people in actual positions of authority take them more seriously than people in this thread seem to.

Nats, the 64 million dollar question is whether or not the “claimed Russian advances” aree real.

But it is something, we should watch closely.

Then if it is real, can Russia quickly gain a real advantage or will they continue the slow creep?

Hard to say but in my opinion it seems to correlate pretty directly with Syrskyi getting sacked. This is pure speculation on my part but I wonder if elements in the AFU loyal to Syrskyi are not laying down?

So ISW, which you quoted less than two hours ago, could be posting fake maps?

Just the opposite. Their maps are very detailed and show Russian claims, Ukraine claims and what they can verify.

If you could read you’d know that.

It depends on if he agrees with what they imply or not

Do you question whether ISW posted Ukrainian claims are real?
