We are now exchanging ideas, technology, etc. Ukraine is now making weapons cheaper, better, and at shorter development cycles than US defense firms.
So now Ukraine has actual hardware and technology that they can swap with the US for some of our military hardware and technology.
Ironically, Ukraine will end up being our most valuable strategic ally in Europe.
Both the US and Ulraine could easily come out of this smelling like a rose.

It's incredible that Russia is so inept in this war and may actually lose given that Ukraine obviously is extremely dysfunctional itself. You don't have turnover at high level positions as often as Ukriane does in a functional org.

No they’re not
Are you even following this war? They're assaulting and clearing Russian trenches with freaking robots. They're supplying troops behind enemy lines by drone and evacuating wounded. They're doing in real time stuff that we only have on the drawing board. And they're doing it for like 10 or 20c on the dollar for what we are projected to spend.
The weapons they are developing are literally changing the face of the US Defense Industrial base. It is the largest disruption to that industry in history. And it is happening right now if you are paying attention.

Uh. No.
They are provide us with a weapon to replace the $3 million Tomahawk. It flies further, carries more payload, and costs $500,000. Google "Tomahawk vs Flamingo" and do some basic research.
And that price is coming down. Anduril is working on a competing missile for $350,000. All because of technology that Ukraine is bringing to the table.
If you think there isn't a revolution in war fighting technology coupled with massive cost reductions, then you're not paying attention.

Sounds like the Defense Minister did his own house cleaning and brought in a bunch of technology guys to radically chang the culture there. And now he is being moved over to a new role on the procurement side. Or may just go start his own company. He isn't being moved out due to incompetence or because he was threatening to the power structure. More like because he accomplished what he set out to do in record time.

Yeah not really.
The US captured Maduro with sonic weapons and electronic pulses that disabled their entire defense systems.
Trying to pretend Ukraine is ahead of US defense industry is extremely bizarre. Hell their entire drone program livelihood depends solely on Western satellites.

Ukraine has almost assuredly innovated a good bit on their own, but yes I would imagine a sizable portion of the innovation we are chalking up to Ukriane has been us giving them tech to field test and produce that we've had for a while.
Same deal with Mossad. Wouldn't be surprised if almost all of their awesome tech is mostly the doing of the US, they just aren't as gun shy in terms of using it. Or you could say "beeper shy"

Did he? Did he really??
I've heard Trump tell Zelensky that. I've heard Trump tell Z he 'didn't have the cards' and to end the war, and I've heard him say publicly that the Russians are 'really pounding them,' meaning the Ukrainians and Trump even went so far as to call the invasion 'smart' on the Russians part.
But I've never heard him say "Russia is losing," or "the Russians are going to lose," or that "the Russians are getting millions of people killed,' and I'm hard pressed to point to a public statement that specifically, pointedly, out-and-out says "Russia needs to end this war." Yes, he's stated that millions are dying, but I don't think he's once said it's Putin and Russian's fault.
Trump needs to come out publicly, look straight at the camaras and say "It's time for Putin and Russia to end this war." He needs to be very clear about whose job it is to end it. We can let the historians debate whose fault it was *cough* Russia's *cough* but Trump needs to publically come out and point the finger straight at Russia and say end it now.
But we all know that's not going to happen.

That's definitely not what I'm reading. Everything that I see says that it's because of conflict with Gen. Syrsky. Stuff like this:

Good post, but Ukraine is not coming out of this smelling like a rose. This has been a disaster for Ukraine. They have been used by the West to defang Russia, and there is no upside for them.
