Desperation on Putin's side, fantasy on Trump's. The Easter ceasefire was violated by Russia over 10,000 times.

That's a 28% increase in defense spending.

This is not the pumping station / storage in Perm hit yesterday. This is one of the associated refineries.
Every fricking night. Russia is helpless to stop this.
And if we're seeing this video, you can believe some of the 'residents of Perm' with VPN's are sending it throughout Russia. Putin is helpless to stop that as well.

Downloads of VPNs have soared by 1,300% in Russia as citizens try en masse to circumvent government blocks on popular apps like Telegram. As a Russian commentator warns, this is likely to lead to the government criminalising VPN use in the near future.

Meanwhile, not to be outdone, the pumping / storage station in Perm exploded again this morning. I would give it the Bavovna of the Week certification but it's only Thursday.

“And I'll close just by saying one of the other ironies of this, of course, is we have a great example in the world right now of what our strategy should be and where our values should be, and that's Ukraine. And I'm really curious. You know, here we are, we roll out the red carpet for Vladimir Putin. We belittle and insult President Zelenskyy in the White House. He has no cards, right? Well, here we are a year after that. Looks like he had a couple cards to play, 'cause Ukraine is actually winning against Russia. Ukraine, a sovereign democracy standing up against a brutal, oppressive, coercive dictatorship, and we can't even bring ourselves on a consistent basis to say, "We are with Ukraine, and we are against what Putin is doing," and stand up and support them. So I wanna see that strategy to meet the complex threat environment that we have”
The House Armed Services Committee is receiving testimony from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine on the Department of Defense FY27 budget request.

That is why Ukraine will step up its efforts to counter Russia's shadow grain fleet, initiating new sanctions in the EU, G7, and other jurisdictions on everyone involved in this theft and illegal trade. It was Trump pulling out of paying for Ukraine, threatening Greenland, etc. Had that not happened the Europeans would be blithely continuing their parasitic approach. Want proof? What did the Europeans do after Crimea was taken? Nothing!

The Simpsons nailed it years ago with their episode on Eurotrash. Free thinking Europeans still see a green card to the US as being the golden ticket.

FACT-CHECK: Did Secretary Hegseth Just Fib to Congress About Ukraine and Russia?
There was a lot of inaccurate information. At a few points, the US Defense Secretary seemed in felony violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001, the law mandating honest testimony to Congress.

Report from Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov, on ensuring the supply of all types of drones for Ukrainian operations – both front-line and long-range.
I am grateful for the increasing supply volumes. One of our priorities for the coming months is middle strikes – that is, targeting the enemy at a depth of up to 120–150 kilometers. This primarily includes enemy military logistics, depots and command posts, air defense systems, and other components of Russia’s offensive activity against Ukraine. This year, we have already contracted five times more middle-strike capabilities than last year, and we will continue to scale up contracting and production.
We also discussed preliminary data on Russian losses at the front in April – the final verified data will be available in the first days of May. The task is to ensure that occupier personnel losses surpass their mobilization rate.
We also discussed in detail with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine the launch of arms exports, specifically the regulatory steps intended to support our state’s agreements and weapons production. Glory to Ukraine!

If so, that will make five months in a row with a net negative personnel count and therefore not an anomaly but an established trend.

I visited Knoxville twice and had a great time.
Trip one 1988 LSU 34 Tenn 9. Was a day game played in the rsin, Tenn never showed up; nor did their fans. Could sit anywhere.
Trip two 2006 LSU 28 Tenn 24 JR led LSU in a big second half. Sat up high, but could see Tigers kicking butt. Winning TD scored in thdd Ed final minute.

I'm as serious as a heart attack when I tell you multiple members of this administration are going to have severe legal problems when Trump leaves office.
This isn't going to be like other changes in power. Trump isn't going to protect them, they already don't get along, and it looks like multiple members hate each other, and there are a number of people who are already openly angy at their behavior. This is going to get nasty long before it gets better.

Ukaine EW system reported to down, or throw off course ,ballistic missiles...
As Patriots run low, Ukraine may have invented a new way to down Russia’s 'unstoppable' Kinzhal missiles
Ukrainian EW specialists say their Lima stations can divert Kinzhals by disrupting satellite navigation.

A Ukrainian electronic warfare project claims to have cracked Russia’s vaunted hypersonic missile, the Kinzhal, one of the fastest and most feared of its kind in the world.
"When we put up our EW (electronic warfare) wall, of 58 of 59 launched Kinzhals, only one landed. All the rest were suppressed," Alkhimyk tells the Kyiv Independent.
Alkhimyk — "the Alchemist" — is the commander of the "Night Watch," an air defense unit that has built out an increasingly sophisticated network of electronic warfare stations across Ukraine since 2023.
Their core weapon is the "Lima," an EW station that has gotten good enough to bring Kinzhals to ground with a whimper rather than a bang.
A video that Lima developer Cascade Systems shared with the Kyiv Independent on April 20 shows a Kinzhal dropping harmlessly in a rural area.

No cigar for pointing out these are insulated fuel oil tanks, the nature of the fire all week told us that. Oil overflowed the retainment dikes and moved downhill, burning out what seems to be an equipment storage yard / pipe rack.
Wonder what's on the menu for tonight?
