It seems as if Russia used the cease fire to shepherd resources for a mighty post parade asssult. It’s really no surprise.

Is this really doing much to beat down Ukraine? I don’t see much evidence that it is.

It's becoming clear that Putin is pushing Trump to help end this war. He can no longer wait for the US midterms.

But as Girkin pointed out, it won't be easy to get Ukraine to stop. Trump has absolutely zero leverage with Kyiv now and any ceasefire offered will be on Ukrainian terms designed to be unacceptible to the Kremlin.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian cruise missile production will peak within weeks now, making for an extremely hot summer for Russia.

No, Russia is not ready for the Ukrainian terms yet. But they will be before the end of the year. What's left of them.
