I remember my late Uncle at Thankgiving 30 years ago saying once you allow people to vote themselves money, its over.

How about just giving people that actually pay taxes $2,000 refund in April.

This.

Give a 2000 tax credit, HOWEVER, it cannot increase a refund. Example- Joe owes 2700 dollars to irs. He now owes 700. Becky owes 1300 to irs, she now pays zero. Shadricka gets a refund of 5600. That stays the same.

It’s a stupid idea to manipulate stupid people.

Plenty on here loved those stimulus checks which helped fuel inflation.

This 2k stimulus wasnt the "people's" idea. It came from their leader.

First off they shouldn't happen.

Second, if they did, the more you pay in taxes, the higher your check should be. But we all know these go to those who pay very very little in taxes, just like the bullshite covid money.

Gov supplied bennies are never "peoples" ideas. They are from politicians trying to get re-elected. They know what the voter want.

In this case I'm not terribly upset with Trump. Dems win big in the mids and this country is fugged. This country if screwed eventually no matter what, but hopefully we can put it off a bit more until I'm dead.

OP literally supports the party that "progresses" by openly calling for violence, and stealing from producers. Then gets mad when producers dare ask to keep some of the money they earned.

What a disgraceful piece of human garbage.

It would be $300 billion and what makes you think they would stop at only the taxpaying citizens?

You know what? I don't blame them. We've been lied to so much by the UniParty crooks we simply don't believe anyone.

So we'll all drown in this sinking ship together.

Yep, 100 years of progressive ultra-liberal policies is about to finally catchup with us.

$ 37 trillion.

This is why politicians keep kicking the can down the road and why we are where we are.

Things will get really ugly in this country. The Great Depression has nothing on what’s coming.

Moronic. We have no plan. It would be nice to make a plan and stick with it as a country.
