I guess so. But to be fair, as fricked up as our state politics are, a guy “sexually harassing” someone doesn’t even move the needle anymore.

That's the shocking thing. He seemed to almost everyone to be a fairly competent, ethical, if bit milquetoast, politician.
Everyone, Rs and Ds liked him or at least respected that he tried to do his job with a minimal amount of politics.

The story I got was that the woman was a player who dated back to the Fox McKeithan days. She played up to Schedler as well when it was to her advantage. The difference between Fox and Schedler is that she was just another skank to Fox, whereas Schedler took it more seriously and thought there was more to it than what there was. And she got uncomfortable with that.
Bottom line...it’s unfortunate, but he shouldn’t have been fooling with her at all. Never get your meat where you make your bread.

it was completely consensual and not a secret in the office. Everyone knew why “Debbie” was constantly being placed in new position after new position and she felt so protected that she didn’t want to do any work whatsoever. Eventually the situation boiled over to where she needed to do “something” to keep her job and instead chose to bring the relationship to the full light of day.
Tom is not a victim here by any means, but she ain’t no saint.
End of the story is that the “don’t shite where you eat” rule remains undefeated

The irony of this whole situation is that Schedler’s predecessor, Fox McKeithan had a virtual harem in that office.
