Yes...

But I’m not going to say it.

I don't disagree with most of that, but I think it's more a chicken or the egg quandary. I'm not sure that it makes sense to assign most or even a lot of the blame here to the "wealthy and powerful" in the state, but I wouldn't disagree that they are not particularly "progressive" for a whole score of reasons.

But indirectly we get clobbered on property taxes. They were high already BEFORE the housing boom.

The problem is that rich people "being progressive" essentially means they have to fund programs with no expectation of ROI. That's a tough sell.

I'm not necessarily assigning blame to wealthy/powerful people as they are just a reflection of the culture of the region. It's just natural to look at the people capable of making widespread changes. We collectively lack the ambitious/progressive/forward-thinking mindset needed to succeed. Everything is behind and has been for 50-100 years. We just leaned on excellent natural resources to keep us going.

Yes on on the liberal crocked mindset that permeates Louisiana politics.

If Louisiana had been managed like Texas fore the last 40 years we would all be better off.

I know right. Because the last conservative governor did SUCH a great job.

Oh wait... He put his national ambitions above the state time and time again and left us practically bankrupt.

The point was, jackass, is that a black community organizer (ring a bell) is mayor
I am guilty of the 'her" part, I don't think a woman is a good fit to run that shite show.
She is under indictment

The state doesn’t really grow. Where is the population increase in smart and educated people? I see more Mexicans when I visit and I saw a few Indians taking over some businesses. The oil revenue hasn’t really changed the state. Louisiana is just a better version of Haiti.

Typically if someone feels the need to bring someone's race into a negative description of a person it reveals that they believe the race is either part of the negative characterization or perhaps even correlated.

For example, "LSUsaint is an ignorant piece of shite" vs "LSUsaint is an ignorant white piece of shite". Clearly, being a piece of shite would be enough... Adding the white part is intentionally provocative, unnecessary, and yes... A bit racist in this example. Wouldn't you say?

Funny how some think the state of the State is a recent phenomenon that can be completely tied to current politicians...or that R and D matter in LA.

Must have struck a nerve. Okay. You don't see that pointing out the race of someone, whether white, black, Indian or Asian as a bolded point in a tirade is a racist tactic. When you read that an argument used against someone is that "they are white and are showing their white privilege", doesn't that tell you that the person stating that argument is racist? Your little petty tirade was no different. The fact that Mitch is a corrupt piece of shite doesn't have to do with whether he's white or black. He's just a corrupt piece of shite who happens to be white.

But as a fact, he is white. To me, only a racist would think racism, I don't

I said BLACK, as a link to Obama and his prior experience link to her, without saying his name...be honest, when you hear black community organizer being elected, what comes to mind? Doesn't make you racist!
That's all it was, period. Draw your own racist conclusions...but they are YOUR thoughts, not mine.
Any person of ANY color with fraud charges against them should not be on a ballot in Louisiana....thats why we suck..

Thanks again New Orleans
