Is there any way to make him miserable enough to quit?

No, he gets to sit on his fat arse and do absolutely nothing. He produces nothing, he makes nothing, he is worthless.

Honestly, it needs to go further. Censures mean dick. If you want to punish him, pull his support on both the state and local level. No local endorsements, no public appearances with him. Nothing. Just excommunicate him from GOP state politics.

This is all public record to look up....I noticed that while Senator Cassidy’s home is twice as big as mine (5,000+ sq. ft.), AND he lives in a part of Baton Rouge with higher real estate prices, that guy pays the same amount of property taxes as I do. Unreal.

If we want him to be miserable, how about asking him to pay his fair share of taxes on property that is underassessed by 50%!!!

The writing is on the wall. This is an attempt for them to keep people from changing parties like so many including myself have already done. The GOP is a sinking ship. It’s a shame it will take some good men down with it but the fate is already decided.

We need strength and they are full of weakness.

The party needs to find a strong candidate to primary him and beat a democrat.

That's unity that needs to move through the GOP chain.

Same could be said for every state office. The La GOP is a joke. They’ve done nothing to stop the idiot in New Orleans or the one in Baton Rouge.

Trump was going to get acquitted no matter what that POS did. He spit in our faces fellow Louisiana Baws, but honestly - it didn’t change the result. Which makes this bullshite even more inexplicable.

That said - the institution he really damaged (leaving aside the Bill of Rights and Articles 1-3 of the COTUS), was the GOP. Which kind of makes me happy.

The Louisiana GOP has GOT to be in a panic.

Instead of a censure, they should remove him. They kicked out David Duke. frick it They should kick out Cassidy. He condoned an unconstitutional trial, devoid of due process that sought to convict a private citizen for the exercise of his first amendment rights.

The GOP should expel him. We can’t primary his arse, even in 6 yrs. Louisiana has “jungle primaries.” Everyone runs and the top 2 run against each other. Memory serves when Kennedy was elected he ran against Boustany (R) in the runoff. So, if Cassidy stupidly tries to run again in 6 years- he’ll split the vote and we could get stuck with him v JBE.

OH how I hate that worthless POS

The Louisiana GOP should definitely kick his arse out. It has been run like a shite show for years. Time to improve immediately.

I don’t believe he has any intention of running again.
