Can you even explain why you would be opposed to this amendment?
It’s an unjustified resource grab. And considering how some people are already cooling on the Zachary school system, it’s a waste of taxpayer dollars to manufacture another school system just for people to start thinking about leaving it 20 years later.

It’s going to be nerve racking night for SG. Will the parish vote us down? We are outnumbered.
I’ve thought for some time now. Figured it would pass state but fail parish. The “No” votes were much more vocal than the yes.
However, I expect to see it back on the ballot in another year or so.

Seems early to make those calls. No?
Only like 2 percent between Flemming and Cassidy at the moment.

The 70 to 75 amendment is retarded. Why would give them 5 extra years of incompetence?
We should lower it to 65 IMO

All 5 amendments are now down 10%+
#3 was at least within like 8 points... but that 1 has hit double digits as well

Who in the F is voting for Cassidy? Boomers! Fox watching. Uninformed Boomers.

How many of Cassidy's EBR votes are from former Dems that are now no party?

“Democrat policies will eventually ruin the St. George school district so, like, why even waste time trying?”

My mother worked the polls today in one of the reddest parishes in the state. She said Letlow doubled Fleming there.
You pulled that out of your arse.

Isn't that what LA just got away from after decades? Yes.
Yes but only because King Landry said so. I find it ironic the guy that benefitted the most from the jungle primary quickly got rid of it.
They tried getting away from the Jungle Primaries in early 2000's and quickly changed back because the people hated it and it cost way too much money for a runoff that had extremely low voter turnout for.

42% in
They likely have voting patterns data to call the 2 winners for runoff
DDHQ Race Update (est. 42% in): Louisiana US Senate Republican Primary
Julia Letlow (R): 56,319 (42.7%)
John Fleming (R): 38,361 (29.1%)
Bill Cassidy (R): 34,373 (26.1%)

Shocker that you’re cheering on St George residents having to fund your shite EBR schools while also having to spend a fortune on private schools to give their kids a real education.

She probably saw the totals when her precinct closed an hour ago.

So in the R Senate race, is it just winner take all and they’ll be the nominee?
Like if it breaks down 39%, 36%, 25%, the 39% is simply the nominee in November?
I think I know the answer but this is the first one of these I’ve voted in.

Deleted because apparently I was misinformed about party registration and primary voting.

Cassidy is done. He never really had a chance.
Posted on 5/16/26 at 9:08 pm to OU Guy
When Cassidy loses tonight, it will be the first time in 14 years that an incumbent Senator doesn't make the runoff
