Years ago I went on one of those three day fishing charters to the leeward side of Chandeleur Island.
Besides the great speck and red fishing what I remember most was the boat ride between Cat Island and Ship Island. Sitting in the boat galley looking out the window, and the way the cross current was causing the boat to roll, I went from looking down at the water to looking up at the sky. That current was incredibly strong.
