The democrats have multiple times made the point that you can’t dare, for any reason, investigate a political opponent running for office. 
In their minds a (Democrat) man could strangle someone on Rodeo Drive and would be immune from investigation/prosecution if they say they’re running for office.

So the President was made aware of evidence that a crime was committed and referred that person to national law enforcement.

im not grasping at straws. that has been and remains to be what is at issue. the admin is under no obligation to release a transcript of a call to the house committee. the admin is obliged to release complaint within 7 days.

which means he is NOT a whistlebower and thus is not allowed the protections of the whistleblower laws.
