"Actually govern"? Have you seen any of the 100+ YouTube videos where he is tearing apart biden's judicial appointment hopefuls? Budget appointment hopefuls? Supreme Court hopefuls? He dances intellectually around all of them & runs them into the ground. He is intellectually superior to a large majority of Congress & uses his intellect to fight biden's policies. That's a form of "governing" that his haters never see. Every politician has a public persona & a private one. But more important, look at who hates him & attacks him every chance they get: the hard left.

This was a layup for him IMHO.

Vitter could have stayed in the Senate forever. Going after the mansion killed his career because old shite came back up.

"Intellectually dancing" isn't something I would usually associate with desirable traits for executive leadership. Intellect never hurts, but action trumps intellect every time.

Don't have a dog in the hunt, but I can notice a dog who would rather stay in town and bark from the porch.

Sorry to tell you that this is bad for Louisiana. Landry will shite the bed with his incompetence and open the door for a moderate democrat. If you have ever listened to Newell interview Landry you might not be so enthusiastic. Kennedy might be swamp creature but at least he is smart. He could have actually governed the state.

I am assuming this guy:

Richard Nelson is the State Representative for District 89, representing areas of Mandeville, Madisonville, and Covington.

He is superb. That being said, I don’t think that he has actual plans to run.

From my area, he would easily be my first choice. Then Hewitt (whom I also really like), then Schroeder (who wont get my vote unless it is just him and a Democrat / Nungesser).

I stated he wasn’t going to run.

He was NEVER going to leave DC.

No he would not.

And if we’re being honest, people who have that sort of ignorance about how Louisiana election laws are set up shouldn’t be voting in Louisiana elections.

Willful low information voters canceling out the votes of people who actually pay attention is a huge part of the problem in Louisiana and the US as a whole.

Landry probably could be competent. It’s just that he’s too polarizing to win.

The runoff will be two Rs and Democrats will vote for the more moderate one. It’s the feature of the open primary system
