Disagree, this was a very serious incident and it was a miracle the whole plane didn't go up in flames with everyone inside.
Whatever led up to this act of remarkably poor airmanship needs to be ferreted out and fixed.
I bet you might feel different if you were on that plane.

A DEI under qualified hire. I think people flying have a right to know the qualifications of their pilots BEFORE getting on the plane, given the current circumstances. Why not, as the risk of great harm rises with the lack of qualifications.

I wish Delta had been more proactive and honest in getting information out. "The First Officer WAS flying at the time of the accident, but the unusual situation was something even the experienced Captain couldn't have anticipation."

I play pickleball with a Delta Pilot. He said DEI is real. He does training and he cannot fail a black or female. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Delta is non union unlike the other Airlines. I think we all know DEI is legal discrimination. Delta should be sued till they go bankrupt

It’s in the Link, if that info is true, IW. I would never get on a big jet with her as pilot especially in bad weather. I just touched down in low clouds the other night and wanted to hug my pilot when leaving. Chinese guy I think.

Not true. The head of ALPA is a Delta pilot. Delta flight attendants are non-union.

She was coming in with a descent rate in excess of that of an F18 carrier landing.
The wings on that aircraft are also rather low which means that there is little room for error especially with gusting cross winds of >30 knots. A similar sized Airbus has over 7' from wing to the ground. The CRJ-900LR has a little over 4' from the wing's bottom to the ground.

That's a formula for disaster. Pilot error happens and it can kill.
