She's not completely wrong. SCOTUS was never meant to be "co-equal", and is in fact inferior to Congress for the most part. Congress can dictate how often they meet, where their chambers are, how many justices there are, terms, etc.

Not surprised The View would have her on after Piers Morgan and Bill Maher made her look like a fool last Friday.

Clarence Thomas may be the best SC Justice in the history of this country, dingus. For a SC justice, the pinnacle of corruption is not upholding the plain language and original intent of the Constitution.

Wow. She didn't go that far out there on Maher's show. Then again, he probably kept her in check since he's a classic liberal and not the new breed.

You must have failed civics. There is a world of difference between congressional oversight of how federal dollars are spent by a politician DA (who don’t forget ran on “get Trump” to get elected) and the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is a co-equal branch of the government along with the legislative body and the president.

Exactly. Bragg has been using Federal dollars to finance his openly admitted campaign against Trump.

"police" is probably the wrong word, but have you never heard of impeachment?

Yea.. it’s that new political sideshow that is now used for political purposes. Where democrats take it so seriously that they completely fabricate a transcript in the opening remarks. I heard it used to be an actual serious thing. Now it’s just theater.

Did I get it right?

Orrrr. Orrrr. Stay with me here… or Congress has oversight on the spending of federal money. Especially when that federal money was spent in aid of prosecutions of political opponents when the DOJ initially declined to prosecute. And where the DA campaigned on the fact he was going to focus on prosecution of that political enemy? When he declines to prosecute or allows more serious offenders to plead down to nothing charges?

By the way… have the liberal justices gotten together and come up with a definition of what a woman is yet? I missed it if they did.

She didn’t ruin her career like Malcolm Nance & John Heilman did over the last few years on his show but she was pretty bad. California will still vote for her because that is who they are.

What is this 'residual power' that she speaks of?
Sounds made up for convenience ( a gd micromanager).

C'mon, Bruh. That sets parameters on how they interact...but you damn well know that the judicial branch is not subordinate to the legislative. As it should be.

She's WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Or would she like to be subordinate to the executive branch next time a republican gets elected?

Congress should be more proactive about holding the supreme court's feet to the fire.

The liberal judges should have been impeached and removed years ago for their attack against the constitution which they took an oath to uphold.

The whole point of checks and balances is that supreme court can't just do what it wants with no repercussions.

Porter stated since Congress are elected officials and are closer to "the people" they are better equipped, therefore able to police the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court is beholden to upholding the Constitution. Period. Their purpose has nothing to do with "the peoples" thoughts or feelings. Democrats can't understand this, their whole ideology is based on emotions and feelings.
