NO STATE should do mass mail-in voting. It's ridiculous & creates doubt in elections.
Some states have done this for years with no issues. This belief that mail in voting is corrupt is a very recent one.

This closing seriously reminds me of the Chewbacca Defense. "It doesn't make sense!!"

There is no harm in redoing the election in Maricopa County.
Can it just be redone in Maricopa or is it a new statewide election? I don't see either being allowed but does anyone know before I look up the Arizona statutes?

Would the county have to prove they followed their procedures or would Lake first have to prove they didn’t?
She did. Didn't a witness testify yesterday saying they didn't follow chain of custody. Then the state, who should have proof they did, can't provide it?
Check out the link I posted above from Timcast where he addresses this.

That's exactly what I didn't like about it. What is a Wookie doing on Endor? It doesn't make sense.

How do we know? And I wouldn't agree but I'm one person.

Why is that? And again, I wouldn't agree but I'm one person.

The judge has nothing to lose by ordering another election.
It's an impartial and fair decision.
The question is...how is it conducted?

Right, but I never heard them intimate they didn’t follow their own process or that the process was in violation of state law. In other words, it may not be a great process for chain of custody, but if they did follow it, I don’t see a judge getting involved on that unless it’s just egregiously bad.

How do you know it isn't corrupt? Are the states so blue it doesn't matter? Or atleast it doesn't seem to make a difference?

I don't think that's true. It's just that mail-in voting is now such a huge thing that it has exacerbated the potential fraud whereas in the past it was a small percentage of total votes so it only mattered in very close elections.

is the proposed remedy a new election?

but if they did follow it,
No, per a Sworn witness with data. BUT the state can't say "yes we did, here is the proof:" which, by law, they must maintain. Maybe I'm wrong on this but it's my understanding.

I know Utah has done it for a while as has Colorado. One red and one purple.

I believe they are asking to either name Lake the winner or order a new election. I'm just not sure if a new election would be Maricopa County only or the entire State.
ETA: None of that is going to happen even though I think Lake should get a new election based on this evidence.

Even if they followed their policies and processes, that doesn't mean those processes are adequate to meet Constitutional requirements.

16% higher voter turnout? Absolutely not, it is a complete mischaracterization of Baris' testimony and the math. If only 2.5% of outstanding voters on election day was depressed because of the issues that is 22,500 votes and a 78/22 split of that 22,500 for Lake would have her the election. The election day split was 70/30 and it's an easy argument that those who didn't vote because they were seeing Lake voters having issues would've been higher than the 70/30 split she did get.
