The Republicans just KNEW they would clobber the Democrats cuz of Monica. Couldn't lose.
Lost on all fronts. Newt quit. Nothing is garaunteed

I agree you can’t get complacent but I think people will be much angrier and more motivated because their wallets are getting fricked more so than they were because some lady got fricked.

Not only did they take out Newt, they took Bob Livingston as well.

All elections will be close....until all those illegals start voting. When Texas goes Blue, it is over!

First of all, the Republicans held on the Senate with 3 key wins and 2 losses keeping power, same with the House.
Newt quit because he said he would quit if the President wasn’t removed from office….1998 was great for Republicans winning (keeping) Congress again.
This election is absolutely nothing like 1998. This election is about the people realizing how shitty things are today and if continued, will send us in to turmoil.
1998 things were actually great for the every day American. We had a Congress that disagreed but could compromise. We had a President that was a piece of shite, but also balanced the budget cause he reached across the aisle.
We now live in a world that 1 vote will always be for the letter next to the name….not for the American people. THATS why November is so important this year

i dont even remember, who did they give us to vote for bob dole maybe?
they lost because they offered up nobody of merit to vote for, and instead, they wanted to win by default because we are better than the democrat crooks

That was ‘96. 98 was mid term of Bill’s second term.

When Texas goes Blue
Texas will go blue this year, and it has NOTHING to do with the myth of differently-documented migrants voting.
It'll flip thanks to the immense unpopularity of the three biggest Republican nominees. Abbott, Paxton and Dan Patrick are the political equivalent of a hamper-full of sour undergarments.

I got a lot of problems but 98 elections ain't one of them

There wasn’t double digit inflation in 1998

The republican leadership should all be replaced. They went from slam dunk landslide to toss up and might lose more.
Pathetic campaigns with no substance and bad candidates has killed momentum, turnout, and any chance to win.
What have the Republicans run on? Nothing, they should be running on helping American families

This is why ALL 535 reps and senators need to go. They are all too scared to work together to help America cause it might look like a win for the other party. They need to work together for a win for USA

People will allow a ton of shite but don’t frick their wallets…that’s a bridge too far!

Clinton was riding the dot com wave. Unemployment was low. Interest rates we low. Times were good. Nobody really gave a shite that he got a BJ in office. If the republicans really thought that was going to initiate a sweep they were wrong.
