I know thinking isn’t your thing but…

A poster told us popularity is measured by numbers of votes received in a presidential election.

If millions of people vote for you that means you are popular.

Biden and Trump are very popular. Which of the two is more popular based on the number of votes received?

Maybe talk to the guy that decided voting number determined popularity.

I think that’s a silly way to measure it. There are better ways if you are interested. I’d be happy to post them.

I don’t blame you for deflecting. It’s really your only strategy.

Deflect and wait for the seal mob to clap for you.

May I live long enough to see the cultural comeuppance. That’s all I ask. I just want to see the ideological leftists get what’s coming.

Bobby, do you believe number of votes in a Presidential election is a good indicator of popularity?

Of course you don’t. You aren’t stupid.

Yea. The precedent is don’t be a total shite bag your entire life and defraud people the entire time. Real scary precedent

Think of it this way.

You are building a home on your property.
You go to the bank and say here are my plans, I need 350,000 in a construction to perm loan to build, and I need $100,000 to get started.
Bank goes out looks at the property, your plans and talks to the builder.
Bank says nah, we can only offer you 300,000 total and you only get 75,000 up front.
You say, thanks, lets do it. Bank gives you loan.
You pay it back on time and bank makes money off you. you own your house.

Finally Dumbass judge comes in and says you defrauded your bank because you were initially high on your request.

It is literal tyranny.

Would it be better for Trump to allow the state of NY to seize Trump Tower in lieu of paying the fine with the objective of winning it back on appeal?

Don't think I would be willing to risk that unless he is fully prepared to never see that property again once the government is in posession of it

So Engoron is making him pay the full amount while this gets appealed and disallowing him to bond the fine during appeal?

Trump needs to take a loan out for the fine and collateralize Trump Tower.

This is a civil case. It is pretty standard for a civil appeal bond to be 100% of the judgment, plus interest In some states its as high as 150%.

The point of an appeal bond is to maintain status quo. The plaintiff gets assurance the defendant will not squander its assets while the appeal is pending. Meanwhile, the defendant knows it will get the assets back should it win the appeal.

The alternative is the defendant posts no bond, and the plaintiff can go ahead and execute collection of the judgment while the appeal is pending. But then the defendant risks losing its assets even if it wins the appeal.

Trump may be able to find an agent to finance the bond. The Court doesn't care where the money comes from as long as it is secured.
