She was born in Jamaica. Why in the frick do we have federal judges that are NOT loyal to the US? Infuriating
But it seems we have this element who feel we absolutely must bring in foreigners for jobs. Americans can't do them is what they're telling us

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, I wonder how she will rule?
Guessing you didn't have this on your bingo card?

Describing the states' request for a temporary restraining order as "prophylactic," Judge Chutkan expressed skepticism about issuing a wide reaching order while the plaintiffs struggled to prove a concrete harm stemming from DOGE's conduct.
"The court can't act based on the media reports. We can't do that," Chutkan said. "The things that I'm hearing are concerning indeed and troubling indeed, but I have to have a record, and I have to make a finding on the facts before I issue something."
The judge said that in order to issue such an urgent temporary restraining order, the states would have to prove a threat of "extreme" and "imminent harm" that "can't be undone"
Judge appears inclined to deny

the only way a lawsuit is going to get passed this stage they keep getting stuck on is for the fired Federal employees to exhaust administrative procedures, then once those are done, class action lawsuit.

It has to be embarrassing to 14 state attorney general who have to have an Obama judge explain law 101 to them.
I have to make a finding on the facts

How does a state have standing?

How about proving standing first?

quote:the other Obama judge Randolph Moss ruled the same way in the DoE student info case. Didn't even consider standing because sufficient irreparable harm was not shown.
How about proving standing first?
