The Obama years were not kind to them. But in all fairness if I had kept on top of Obama’s daily actions I would have lost all sense of humor. They would have done better to walk away as well. But in more fairness, the percentage of Trump’s haters who have walked away for sanity is about 0.000000012%.

One of my favorite Walton and Johnson stories was the story about Richard Marx and they did an interview with him, and the whole time he had a big mustard stain on his shirt. I thought was pretty damn funny.

That's a rough 80 miles.
Likely closer to 90 from the Galleria to Beaumont, and 105 miles from Beaumont to his house. The guy wakes up at, what, 4am I guess. Knocks off at 10am and drives (in good traffic) 90 minutes to his "second job". I'm assuming he works at least 4 hours there and has the fun of re-entering Houston around 5pm. So home at 6pm and in bed by 8pm.
Sounds like quite the grind.
If I was him, I'd probably own an apartment in Channelview to skip Houston traffic when it is at its worst. Or have a bed / private room at his station in Beaumont, and get to do the westbound commute at 3:30am.

I met Jay Hooks outside of a Hornets game back in the day and W and J at a car dealership in Baton Rouge. It was when they road in a parade. I kept following the float until I caught one of their special beads. Still have it.

He should be out of the hospital in few days. It must be serious since spent 2 weeks in the hospital.

The only Lynn Gansar / story guy joke I remember: So, Lynn is in college and looking for a job...and sees an ad in the school newspaper for a house mother at one of the frats. So she goes to the house, and a couple guys sit her down for an interview. After a few obligatory questions, they wrap it up. "So, Lynn, we've been known to throw a wild party every now and then...are you OK with that?" "Sure", Lynn replies. "And one last question...have you ever been picked up by the fuzz?" (That's Five-O for you young bucks...yeah, it dates the joke). Lynn thinks about it for a few seconds and replies, "No, but I have been swung around by the boobs a few times."

I'll give you this... Ken has a voice for radio like Rachel Maddow has a face for TV and Lena Dunham has a body for porn.
However, the dude, Producer Kenny, is beyond talented in the radio business, segment production, on-location, etc. And given the situation, he is holding the show together with his humor and knowledge. Better than a re-run or best-of.
