Yeah, I really hope Walton gets better and comes back. I ca barely listen to the show with Kenny on the air. He has the voice of Peter Griffin from Family Guy but not near as funny and too self-involved. He doesn't pick up on the cues from Johnson. The guy is bounce passing him material and he constantly misses lay-ups.

Correct.
It's just Walton & Johnson talking for the first 1/2 hour, then Billy Ed shows up around 6. Mr. Kenneth comes in before 6:30 and Mr. Eaux is the last one to show up (usually around 6:45).

I've listed to it the past few days for about 30 min a day. Clearly Kenny and Johnson don't have the chemistry. Which is understandable. But I'm glad they barely talk about politics. At least they are trying to talk about the silly stuff that made the show so popular back in the day, even if the two of them (or 5 of them, LOL) are kind of tripping over each other.

Definitely sounds like a different show with out him. The have been "The Radio Gawds" 30+ years for a reason. GWS John!

I met them in Baton Rouge and John is near my age. He went to Oklahoma and was on football team about same time as I was in college. I am 73 so he is near that age. They are a hoot! Hope he recovers and if not that he goes peacefully and without much pain.

I posted this somewhere. Think you are correct on age 70+, He was on Oklahoma football team in mid 60’s, don’t think he played much per his comments!

I think they've come a long way in the last two weeks in terms of chemistry. Kenny is letting the other "three" talk now, and there's a lot more silliness to the show.

Those guys have been dying a slow death since Obama was elected. They just got old and bitter and way less funny, causing ratings to decline and stations to drop them one-by-one.
They’re in 5 different southern states and numerous stations.
