Wonder if Esquire considers a 50% or higher fed tax rate on $200K+ incomes a dangerous liberal idea? Cause that will happen under Bernie.

Glad his response, although I didn't read the link, seems to be pretty straightforward, instead of the usual Hollywood actor response of "I'm sorry, I love homos and trannies and I hate Trump. See? I have a black dildo in my arse right now, symbolizing gay and minority rights!"

I wish this was enough.

Yes, Krazinski’s answer was normal and certainly not apologetic, but it was still defensive. As far as the left is concerned, it’s mission accomplished.

I don’t blame Krazinski. After all, the man still needs to find work, but SOMEONE needs to respond to that kind of interview with, “What kind of stupid question is that! There’s nothing wrong with the roles I’ve chosen, and you’re a radical for thinking there is!”

Same for the irony of Chris Evans playing Captain America, when he's a typical leftist fit-pitcher.

Or Nick Offerman playing Ron Swanson

A Quiet Place was 10x more "conservative" than 13 Hours b/c the whole movie was basically an ad for family values and personal sacrifice for family

*ETA: and i'm pretty sure that was HIS movie so he's likely not as loony as people in here are claiming

They were great as a married couple in The Quiet Place.

Look what another critic has to say about that role.

quote:

John Krasinki’s “A Quiet Place” received near unanimous acclaim when it opened in theaters nationwide in April 2018 (the film boasts an impressive 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes from 364 reviews), but one critic who panned the movie was Richard Brody of The New Yorker. Brody’s review of the movie was titled “The Silently Regressive Politics of ‘A Quiet Place'” and claimed Krasinski’s horror film had the whitest voice in film since the release of Martin McDonagh’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” the year prior. “As horror films go, it’s the antithesis of ‘Get Out,'” Brody wrote, “inasmuch as its symbolic realm is both apparently unconscious and conspicuously regressive.” The review criticized “A Quiet Place” for its central narrative about a white family with guns protecting their home from “a bunch of big, dark, stealthy, predatory creatures.”

This article was published yesterday in Indie Wire.

Looks like some bigwig in Progressive Land has it out for Krazinski.

The casting, Esquire notes, drummed up theories that the former Office star was focused on playing “red-state heroes” who would appeal to conservative audiences

"Red State Heroes"...This is exactly why Liberals are losing. They simply cant stand seeing America win. Instead of these being "American Heroes"...they brand it as "Red State Heroes". Truly disgusting and completely disrespectful to our military who put their life on the line for our country. Truly disgusting!!!

He does bring it up in the interview, and says he did not see it that way at all and explains his thought process on the film.

What about Robert DeNiro? What roles has made him famous? Don’t they all involve gun violence?

Jamie Foxx? Remember his commentary on guns in the past? Ever seen Django Unchained?

Jeremy Renner? Shawn Penn? Liam Neeson? Jessica Alba? Cameron Diaz? Paul Rudd? Chris Rock? Guns in movies, Guns in movies, guns in movies, guns in movies, guns in movies, guns in movies, guns in movies....

And Hollywood keeps making the movies. These simpletons are not mad at him taking the roles.... they are mad at him not trying enough to push an agenda alongside being in these roles. Then they make more of these roles because that’s what sells. If Cameron Diaz is so against gun violence, she can stick with roles that requires semen in her hair.
