I'll start here with what I've been wrong about.
1. I've held to the belief that when Musk bought Twatter, all the "big names" would leave for another social media site, everyone would follow suit and X would die on the vine.
2. I've held to the belief that liberal control of the MSM would have a hand in ultimately destroying this country and there would be no defeating it.
3. I've held to the belief that people are generally too lazy minded to seek out the truth for themselves and that laziness would cost conservatism the Presidency.
4. I've held to the belief that the MSM had damaged conservatism in this country so severely that it could never recover as a serious political movement.
I could go on, but you get the point. The collective middle finger this country gave the MSM in this election has just blown me away. It's greatly diminished my cynicism regarding the American political psyche and I'm relieved that I now have to re-evaluate many of the things I believed.

This might make the Axios guy’s head explode.

Well if even you are optimistic, then there’s definitely hope for this country.

I underestimated the earthquake that Elon buying Twitter was. As much as the reaction against it made me feel confident I had not a clue about it's power of helping people cut through the once impervious bullsh!t laid on the average citizen.

By and large most people outside of the fringe still consume normal media and not alternative media, whether that normal media is consumed via traditional (tv, radio, etc.) or new (social media) methods.
The ambulance chaser from lake Charles was actually stupid enough to argue this wasn’t going to be a thing because only people on the fringe consumed alternate media.
I’m sure he will be along shortly to tell us how we’re misinterpreting his statements though.

After 30 year the internet, via podcasting and X, has finally made good on its promise of “democratizing information”.
DNC made their bed with the MSM and in 10 years both will be nonexistent.

X is also full of bullshite. Views = money. People say whatever they need to to get clicks.
Too many people take X accounts as facts.

Why January of 2025? Why not right now? It’s unethical and a machine of disinformation and propaganda… but we’ll still use it for another 2 months.

You piss off people that just want to be left alone long enough, they fight back and they did with vengeance!

This is a growing pain as the public starts to learn to discern truth from lies, fake from real, propaganda from news. We will get through it and come out the other side better off. This election is proof of the direction.
Information has always flowed downhill from above. That's no longer the case and the people that have been in charge this whole time are not adapting to that new reality just yet.

Tigerdroppings is the most reliable and should be the most popular news source in the world.

This example of the power of Twitter happened before Elon bought it but it illustrates how important Twitter is to get the truth to the masses.
When that nut job shot up the Atlanta massage parlor the MSM’s take away from this was white people were targeting Asian people and doing violence against them. The MSM and the Left started the “Stop Asian Hate” campaign with the goal of making white people look violent and racist.
The MSN spread tons of statistics about how violent crime against Asians was on the rise and made it appear it was white people who were committing the crimes.
Twitter showed video after video of violence against Asians but the violence was committed by black people. Eventually, the MSM decided to once again go back to ignoring violence against Asians.
The MSM would have never changed their tune if not for Twitter putting pictures and video to the misleading statistics the MSM was spreading.

Well said. As a reward when you report to camp you will be given a choice of Harry Sisson or Taylor Swift as roommate.

Define reliable....
Does good info get posted on Twitter? Absolutely.
Is all the info on Twitter good? No, people lie on social media all the time football sports of reasons from manipulation to trolling for fun.
Is it the most popular news source? I don't think twitter itself is a news source. There are news sources as part of Twitter that share content there like they do on other social media. I think twitter had the best conversational format and was more likely to be managed by the person not just a social media person as well.
