Probably not enough time. I remember we spent a whole semester on WW2 alone in HS. The most important history is covered and the history of Indians prior to colonization isn’t that important to US history. We covered the battles, pioneers, trail of tears and such in high school but the intricate details as far as tribes, their history, differences, etc is too much to cover in the timeframe. I do remember having a semester of Mississippi history that covered the tribes from here in some detail

Because there are not enough school hours in a day to waste on injun history when kids can learn all they need to know about redskins by watching kld westerns from the 50s and 60s on TV.
Besides, blkpipo wouldn't like taking away from the 24/7 rewriting of our history in our schools.

I don’t really consider 95% of stone age tribes being wiped out by disease that relevant to our history. The only thing relevant is the resolve of our ancestors to deal with their raiding and attacks to create this country.
