Pretty much what I meant in my comment about him just missing his political window through bad luck. If he was 57 in 1992 or 2008 to make a run at the democratic nomination we have a different recent history, IMO.

Can’t wait to see all the leftist praise Joe when they essentially shite on him and pushed him out the party because he wasn’t communist enough for them.

RIP Joe, you were one of the few decent democrats around. I may have disagreed with some of your positions but I respected you for your principles.

In retrospect, he likely would have been the best president of the 4 main party people on that election ticket.

But, yeah, your point is well taken. I do remember him seeming like a really old dude then. It's sort of crazy.
