Joe Lieberman, a longtime senator from Connecticut who became the first Jewish American to be nominated on a major party’s ticket, died Wednesday. He was 82.
Lieberman’s family stated that he died “due to complications from a fall. He was 82 years old. His beloved wife, Hadassah, and members of his family were with him as he passed.”

Joe should have been born 15 years before or after he was actually born. Either would have given him his window.

One of the few decent human beings that worked in the swamp

For no reason, made me think of...
RIP Joe. Seemed like a decent enough chap.

Lieberman was one of the last great, reasonable democrats.

Peace and prayers to his family tonight.

Pretty much what I meant in my comment about him just missing his political window through bad luck. If he was 57 in 1992 or 2008 to make a run at the democratic nomination we have a different recent history, IMO.

Can’t wait to see all the leftist praise Joe when they essentially shite on him and pushed him out the party because he wasn’t communist enough for them.
RIP Joe, you were one of the few decent democrats around. I may have disagreed with some of your positions but I respected you for your principles.

In retrospect, he likely would have been the best president of the 4 main party people on that election ticket.
But, yeah, your point is well taken. I do remember him seeming like a really old dude then. It's sort of crazy.

I thought he was old back then. Now I'm older than that... and it's not old at all.
