So he at this point told the harsh truth about what this country faces rather than blaming the current president. I'm sure the dems will quickly correct him and call him down privately about not politicizing the disaster we face. And look for the msm to curtail any discussion of his correct take.

I don't envy any president going forward.

In what fcking way is this anywhere near as bad as the Great Depression? In. What. Fcking. Way.

Let him say it. If we open things back up the economy is going to receive a quick boom. May take a while to get when it was, but anything positive is going to be credited to Trump by anyone that doesn't have TDS.

No he didn't. This country presently is like a drag car waiting at the starting line with it's engine revved up waiting to put the metal to the petal. The Depression - there wasn't even a starting line to find.

Comparing this to the depression is dumb

The depression was caused by forces within the business cycle that we still aren’t sure of

The current downturn is caused by specific, observable, known exogenous factor

FDR's policies extended the great depression in the U.S. by 7 years, per UCLA economists.

The partial collapse of our economy is a very real possibility. 32% unemployment is projected vs 24.9% at the worst during the great depression. Small businesses have been thrown a bone to get them to hang on for a short time but you can expect a dramatic reduction in the number of still operating service firms.

Of the friends and relatives I know operating or owning businesses in our town there is only one who is relatively comfortable since a large corp is backing the company he runs. To think anything less is denial. And this is based upon getting the virus thing which has created world panic under control in the next 2 to 3 weeks and the country opened back up. Everybody can't be delivery boys and girls for Amazon. And millions have already or face preparing to file for their pennies. We can't just snap a finger and bring back mfg and production from China and more and put these people to work.

Collapse that lead to depression was caused by "panic" and a lack of public faith. We are very, very vulnerable at this point because we have off shored our mfg base. And became a digital, service economy. Problem: we can't all shine each other's shoes. r deliver each other's packages. We don't make stuff. Hell we don't even retail stuff anymore. The country then was saved by WWII. I'm not an economist. I can't even balance a checkbook anymore but I know without small businesses and or making stuff we are in trouble.

Serious question. Why is trump looking good the most important thing to you?

All indications are Trump and family want to get rid of stimulus watchdogs which of course means more corruption and extreme swampiness. Good luck if you’re a small business. The fact he wants his name on the checks that all of us will eventually foot the bill for should tell you all you need to know.

“We cannot let this, we’ve never allowed any crisis from the Civil War straight through to the pandemic of 17, all the way around, 16, we have never, never let our democracy sakes second fiddle, way they, we can both have a democracy and ... correct the public health.“ - Joe Biden

Setting up for even greater forced confiscation and redistribution of wealth.

I know this because it’s all the left has.

Damn man you are in trouble if the burger flipping business goes under. Or you may be on the edge of senility like me. LOL! DJT must have "romanced" your wife or something.
