Proof: his 8 years of being one of the worst governors in history, evidenced by his raiding of every single trust fund in the state in order to falsely claim he had balanced the budget without raising taxes so he could suck off Grover Nordquist for a .5 % poll showing in the presidential election. If Kennedy doesn't run, the obvious choice is Landry. Regarding Jindal, he was on his way to being one of the best Governors until people started telling him he had national appeal. If he would have just focused on Louisiana and kept pushing the economic development he did his first few years, he would be sitting in Cassidy's Senate seat right now.

He seemed to be distracted focusing on running for president as opposed to serving as governor. Also, he's lacked presence in the state regarding issues and activities the past few years.

As much as I despise Bobby Jindal, I would gleefully vote for him over Bill Cassidy.
ETA: Jindal would be laughed out of the primaries. He has zero point zero chance of every becoming the governor of Louisiana ever again.

The hate for Jindal is unreal. He shrank the budget and state government. He modernized the IT of every agency and required that they create web based platforms for their services. He did all of this without ever raising taxes. He also did not raise taxes just to get through a few bad years of budget issues. I am still waiting for Edwards to reduce to gas and other “temporary” taxes put in place during his first two years. The only people who didn’t like Jindal were the ones milking the clock at a state agency for 20 plus years or getting a fat kickback in the form of some contract.
