Not really. It’s exposing them.

This entire “fiasco” is meant to eliminate any and all accountability. All McCarthy had to do was honor his commitments…that’s it. Now that these people actually have to do what they promise everything breaks down, and they will blame Gaetz for holding people to their word. God forbid people actually mean what they say for a change.

Gotta have those going-nowhere show votes.

Exposing who? And to whom?
No one who supports moderate or RINO republicans is being enlightened by any of this. In fact you’re driving them away.
No one who opposed RINO and moderates needed anything exposed to them.
So again, who exactly is this show for?

McCarthy is the reason both Scalise and Jordan are not Speakers. He intentionally undermined them in order to take his job back.

Its a publicity stunt. He had no plan in place. It was obvious from the start.
A publicity stunt would have be Gaetz continuing to threaten McCarthy and never really doing anything about it. At least he had the balls to call him on it. It just goes to show you, NOTHING was going to change with McCarthy as Speaker. It's the status quo. And I, like many other Americans, am tired of the status quo. And I'm sure the Republican Congressmen and women that voted against Jordan have heard from many people just like me.
Why was it's Gaetz role to have a plan in place when removing McCarthy? He, along with the other 7, told everybody his Speakership would only last as long as he kept his end of the bargain. In essence, McCarthy and his supporters didn't think they would ever call him on it. They went "ALL IN" and called his bluff. His River card didn't turn up. It really just goes to show, Republicans couldn't care less about governing.

And many here applauded it. These people are doing the work of leftists
How was KM working out in your view?

Doubt that he’ll ever be speaker again. I thought Scalise would have been the “easiest” comprise but that only lasted a few minutes.

Gaetz should be censured for starting this disaster.

Total disaster
Thats kinda the point
Pull back the curtain and see the RINOs continue to mock the conservative base. Getting absolutely nothing done is by far (and its not even close) better than what we have been getting
Covid should have opened everyones eyes about what lengths the govt will go to maintain power. And yet dipshits on here (oddly enough are mostly DeSantis supporters) would rather have the RINOs get their way in the end
To Hell with that. Thats why we elected Trump in the first place

This isn't about the Conservative base. It's about the MAGA populist base. Don't get them confused. Even though there is some overlap, they are not the same thing. Conservatives understand how government works, populists do not.

Meanwhile the Democrats are scoring political points and real issues like spending, soc. Security and immigration are not being addressed. Yes, it’s really great.

Neocons are the biggest pussies ever. These nerds get their feelings hurt so easily.
Sand in the clitoris 24/7. I love how they are acting indignant, somehow this is bad for the Republicans.
The shite economy, global conflagration and the comeback of Jihadi terrorists is because the house has no speaker. lol.
What a bunch of retards. No wonder you losers lost twice to Obama. McStain and Mormon Eunuch were such great Republicans. Bunch of closeted liberals cucks.

You are aware the House does other things...right? They can't investigate Biden, do any hearings, issue subpoenas, sanction Talib...Republicans can't establish a narrative. They are the narrative. They are in disarray. Anyone who thinks this benefits Republicans is delusional.

MTG wants the Fabulous 8 who ousted McCarthy to apologize.
On elevating McHenry...

I completely disagree. I think that we should all be able to find a path in that room right there. And that requires putting the egos down. It requires humility. It requires the 8 Republicans that worked with Democrats to put us here asking for forgiveness in the conference and people giving forgiveness and us moving forward. This is not a plan for a strong majority.

Spoiled brats throwing a temper tantrum. My parents beat my arse at the slightest hint of a tantrum I’m guessing they didn’t get it.

You mean the rules the house can change whenever they want?
McHenry has no authority to bring request for change to the floor, nor does anyone else.
quote:The Constitution allows the House to set its own rules. It has done that. It now must abide them.
What does that have to do with the constitution?
