Banks told Fox News Digital he plans to introduce the Citizenship Act as soon as the Senate opens for business Monday afternoon – crafting it with a nod to Trump-appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s concurrence in last month's Trump v. Barbara case.
quote:
The Citizenship Act would declare that children of statutory "invaders" are not entitled to birthright citizenship under the law and codify a 2025 executive order that cites the term.
In its summary, Banks' bill declares "any person who enters the United States without authorization or for the purpose of engaging in birth tourism is considered an invader..." and amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to exclude children of such "invaders."
Banks' key use of "invaders" cites Trump’s executive order declaring illegal immigration across the southern border an "invasion," while the bill notes the Barbara decision leaves that avenue open for Congress to crack down on.

Congress is so worthless

We can put down Lindsey's sister as a yes vote.

Here's hoping the midterms will be so successful that something like this could pass thru Congress next year.

Here's hoping SCOTUS still won't shoot it down because they probably will.

I'm not the most knowledgeable baw about the intricacies of law....
Does this have a chance, if it gets the votes?

Valid question, but it’ll never get the votes. These corrupt jack asses can’t even pass a bill to require an ID to freaking vote in elections.
They are against us and only in it for themselves. They don’t want America to be protected from these invaders. Think about how ludicrous is is that they opened the borders and also flew them in on airplanes. It’s insanity.

Included in this legislation, should be verbiage that makes anyone found illegally in the United States, forbidden from ever returning or applying for a work visa, citizenship or re-entry in any manner under penalty of deportation to North Korea.

SCOTUS said it needed to be done through congress...

The Democratic party (and their willing collaborators across the aisle) have no reason to vote for this.

SCOTUS still gets final review on it.

1 justice said that, 5 others said it was a Constitutional right.
This sounds way sloppier than the proposal Rand has been pushing for an amendment.
Even assuming this bill gets over the Constitutional right hurdle, it's extremely overbroad without more defining "birth tourism."

You can count on Republicans to shoot it down.

That's one vote. They should pick up two more from Thomas and Alito.
So the next case will be a 6-3 decision invalidating this legislation.

Unfortunately the Senate doesn't want this. Even the supposedly conservative ones. This is just fodder.

This is a Democrat bill of Harry Reid s from 1993 word for word. Lets see them vote against their own legislation
Cant blame Trump this time
