Does incarceration?

Evidently about the same as the death penalty

I think if you're at the point in your life where you're willing to commit murder there isn't much that's going to stop you

If we're that worried about stopping murder then we should look at the root causes. Much of it is from black market violence.

Of course They aren't principled. They're morons.

Innocent babies have done nothing to deserve being murdered.

These evil people on death row have done horrible, vile acts, murdering and raping. They have done so much evil that their lives are forfeit

The old fashioned firing squad works very well.

This video has a demo:

You are interrogating me looking for you a meaningless gotcha moment while doing absolutely nothing to support these “innocent babies” you’re pretending to care about. In fact, I’m pretty sure you complain about tax dollars supporting innocent babies that weren’t aborted.

Since 1973, at least 190 people have been exonerated from death row in the U.S.

Thankfully, no innocent people are serving lengthy sentences in jail... We'd have to be consistent and try to abolish prisons if that were the case.

None of them should die. In this state, abortion is banned.

The governor of the state that houses cancer alley is so super pro life that women have to give birth to babies that are guaranteed to die shortly after birth and people who may or may not be guilty of the crimes of which they are convicted must be executed after more than a decade of halting executions.

Increase the caliber of the cartridge, that would be new.

I don’t support any politicians. What does Epstein have to with this thread?

You’re joking, right? I know of a man who will be released in February after serving 16 years for a crime he didn’t commit. He was finally exonerated by the Innocence Project.

He was pointing out what he saw as the absurdity of your position in not wanting capital punishment because our justice system is fallible. By your logic, we shouldn't incarcerate anyone, either, since innocent people could potentially be incarcerated.

You realize that death is permanent, right? There’s no undoing an execution.

You think wrongly imprisoning someone is equal to killing someone?

So let’s make a deal. No capital punishment and no abortions.

I think mass murders should be killed, you think unwanted babies should be killed.

We will never agree. So, do away with both.

And btw you are the one bringing abortion to this. By using your pro life argument.

I am not pro life. I’m anti abortion.

Well if you want politicians to vote on things you want, you should. It’s a representative democracy.

? Abortion is already banned in Louisiana.

Wrong. No one should be killed.

If you re-read the thread, kingbob was the first person to bring up killing babies. Then BugAC brought up killing babies.

I simply responded that I don’t support or encourage abortion but several posters continued to steer the discussion to abortion.

Why does your justification for the government executing its citizens rely on abortion? Abortion is banned in Louisiana. Literally no one can get an abortion in Louisiana. So why are you condemning a nonexistent practice to justify capital punishment?
