Your "opinions" seem to match up directly with a dying journalism narrative. You should meditate on this phenomenon

I’ll have to take your word for it.

Because, like you, he wasn't aware how big of a minority the rabid left is. He'd only been in his bubble. The real world hits hard when you've got 250 million worth of skin in the game

Neither of those approaches seems very good. Just report the news. Nothing needs to be shaped.

You are so stupid it makes my head hurt sometimes. For a so called journalist major you should KNOW let the news shape your reporting IS just report the news. I learned this in mass communication a fricking elective in college full of retarded journalist majors who cheated off me in a ridiculously easy course they were so dumb

Perhaps you should have rounded out all those super objective journalism courses with some basic economic courses. It would help shed some light on this situation you find so perplexing.

Use of flowery language is how you prefer unbiased, objective reporting. That did not go over my head but it looks like it went over yours.

Is this post evidence of your nuanced understanding of the situation?

Let them subsidize WaPo if it's so important.

No thank you. I agree with everything you said except this because if the cia is subsidizing it you and I are subsidizing it. Their money is our money.

It's not evidence of anything. It's only an observation that had you taken the time during your stint at university to study basic economics, you likely wouldn't be perplexed as to whether a billionaire owning a money losing venture made financial sense.

I used to read Wapo and the NYT every day. Never bought one. The barristas at Starbucks saved yesterday's unsold issue for me. SB stopped having a newsstand about 15 years ago because nobody was buying the papers. On weekends the NYT would publish everything you need to know about ballet dancing and opera. I wonder if their new illegal immigrants are into that stuff.

On a political opinion board?
Thats a silly rhetorical.

Then again, the responses here to skewed articles from the WaPo, NYTimes, etc. are often straight facts, and those facts completely dissemble the articles' premises. So, in those instances, yes, it's just the news.

To that point, I cannot tell you how many times I've responded to ridiculous medical reporting of opinions posted here with straight unopinionated facts, studies, etc.
(often getting slammed in the process ).

Right. The responses in this thread just don’t make sense. I guess I should expect extremely low effort vapid insults in response to on topic posts after all these years but I still try to make sense of things I read here… which is probably why I end up confused and frustrated most of the time.

Sounds about right.
