Everyone on this board loved them some MadDog just a few short years ago.
Still like him as a General.

But it also isn't lost on me who he attained his rank under. And, well, let's just say that Trump and that family aren't on great terms.

It also used to be that conservatives were concerned about the national debt. Not so much anymore.

And now we have a top brass man denying the riots? He knows better that Trump is not using our national guard improperly. He knows better that the CIC was made fun of by our media... Because he was ordered to safety, so the CIC showed leadership going to a Church saying it was wrong to burn it down.

He is the swamp no doubt and a neocon that wants war. Most republicans from Graham to Turtle want Trump the frick out NOW! Some here don't seem to see that. Some here better wake up and stop with the hope porn because there is no one working on denouncing or exposing this evil behind the scenes.

The FBI and CIA can zoom in on the freckle on your arm any where anytime. They don't and won't expose ANTIFA and the politicos behind it. They want Biden in there quickly but we don't want them and they know it.

The masks are almost all off. We will win by addressing the enemy and walking through glass to vote; not by pretending at any moment it will all be exposed and stopped.

You think what Mattis spewed was just a deviation from OMG? It could have been written by Hillary Clinton. He’s not criticizing a policy or aspect of the administration, he’s vomiting up SJW bullshite.
MadDog earned his nickname for a reason. Is it possible that he is being earnest and the board is wrong? Just because you call it "SJW bullshite" doesn't automatically make you right.

I think these cats think that the public hangs on their words.

I could give two shits what Mattis thinks about anything. Why should I care what he thinks about Trump? Especially since it’s so patently untrue.

I was a fan of Mattis but he has shown himself to be an establishment warmonger.

Call them whichever, but criticize what the President has done with the deficit during his administration and see what happens on this board.

The deficit is shite. It has been for decades. It’s ridiculous what this administration has done with spending.

Yep. Let him fight wars, but don’t let him make the decision to start one.

I was also disappointed that as SecDef he did nothing to roll back the SJW stuff that Obama infested the military with, but as you said, that’s the admin that promoted him. And Obama had litmus tests once you got past BG.

I don't know any of that history. I just think it's unlikely that MadDog is some weak-kneed SJW.

It's OK to admit it outloud - Trump is a deeply flawed narcissist. I hate Hillary Clinton. That's why I didn't vote for her. I like a lot of the stuff Trump advocates. That's why I will vote for him. However, I don't have to pretend he's a great guy or that he's flawless. I have perpetually likened him to chemotherapy - literal poison for your cells...but prescribed as medicine nonetheless.

For all the OMB talk on this board, it's amazing how there is 0% allowance for anyone who deviates at all from OMG.

I’ve never sucked his dick and worship him.

He made plenty of errors early on

I give him a slight pass because literally none of us have gone into DC as an outsider and had to hire a compete team. Not just any team a cabinet.

He was definitely mislead by early on GOP types that steered him in the wrong direction.

In the end he made the choice so he deserves blame.

I just literally can’t fathom showing up to that cesspool that is DC and fill all of these positions with people that are both respected and wanted to fulfill my agenda. Everyone is in it for themselves.

Don’t care if you believe me or not.

You like to yell racism every time somebody sneezes, but I think you’re honest enough to admit there’s a big difference between “Trump is wrong about Syria” and “Trump is a horrible human who divides us”. I could be wrong.

Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us,” Mattis writes. “We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.”

Trump was meant to be not only a reset, but a warning. He's what happens when the left goes too far on every goddamn issue. He's a symptom, not a cause. I would think a 20 star general would be able to see that for what it's worth.

His very first statement was disingenuous bullshittery, kind of kills his credibility and trustworthiness out the gate.

Mattis was idolized because he spent his entire Marine career as a Marine officer of action and someone who led by example. Now he just takes cheap shots from the sidelines.

Also, as other posters have pointed out, Mattis seemed perfectly content with working for Trump until “Muh Kurds.” Since then he’s had his presidential exploratory committee, speaking engagements with the political elite and remained painfully silent about the treatment of his colleague Flynn.

I have. I even pointed out that Trump never even pretended to be a fiscal conservative. He didn’t and he’s not. He’s not really a conservative at all, but he does have some shared beliefs and he was a helluva lot better choice than Hillary.

Now I’ll either get called a libtard here, because I just said it again, or “this board” isn’t as extreme as some of you like to paint it.

Are there any concrete examples of this?

yes, but they are not worthy of saying he is trying to divide us, I think Trump just draws the left out into the light so we can all see who is who so the American people can see very clearly which choice is best for our future.

Examples

1. "Dominate the Streets"
2. "I would fire the SOB "
3. "Do nothing Democrats"
4.

these are the first that come to mind

It's 4 years of daily tweets...

I mean there is no shortage of red meat examples

but again, the Left always strikes first and Trump responds

Seriously how dare he with this dissent. Trump should kill him on fifth avenue. And then grab his corpse by the vagina. And then tear gas some protestors to take a photo feeding a puppy. Right before sending Hilary to prison where she belongs and deporting that fake citizen Obama. Then ban vaccines because they cause autism, many such cases.
