Ok. I stand corrected.
I was just going from my time in the military. All the M16s had the ejection ports placed for right-hand shooters. Lefties used the brass deflector.

In a sea of mistakes by the State this one takes the cake. It's insane.
Hopefully, some defense attorneys in Kenosha took note to use it against Fatlock and the other prosecutors.

Understood. Left-handed guns aren't hard to come by like they used to be and that is even more true in the world of ARs where everyone and their mom makes uppers.

And he thinks you have a duty to “take a beating” before you can exercise self defense. Yep. Actually said that.

Glad to know I don’t have an AR since they can not be left handed.

IMO that wasn’t even the issue if I understood correctly.
The issue was for Kyle to be seen pointing his rifle as the prosecution claimed, he would have had to remove his sling, resling around the opposition shoulder and hold/point the rifle left-handed, despite being right handed, which feels like shooting a duck with your hands up its arse if you’re not used to it. Then he would have had to unsling and resling to the right again soon after when he is again seen with it right-handed.

Yea "everyone takes a beating now and then" seems like a good precedence for a DA to set for the next spouse abuse case.

I so hope the jury asks the judge to clarify Wisconsin's self defense law for them as it certainly does not say you need to get your arse beat before protecting yourself.

I shoot my AR Left handed and I don't use a brass deflector. The ejection port isn't that big of a deal to me. The pain in the arse part is the bolt release rocker and the mag release button being on the wrong side. It's OK though, I've been making do with it for 35 years.

I’ve handled them right handed my whole life. Only gun I had an issue with was a Winchester 30/30 rifle my dad used for deer hunting. The shells would hit me straight in the face every time.
Bought my first left handed rifle about 2 years ago. Not much of a difference but convenient without making modifications.

Yes, my dad was left-handed and the guns he bought later in life were all left-handed guns. His older guns from the '60s aren't. It used to be hard to buy left-handed guns but that changed a good 20+ years ago.
I shoot lefty and I can tell you it’s annoying shooting right handed guns

Someone needs to take Fatlock out to the range and let him shoot an AR-15 with the chamber facing his head, and see if he changes his mind?
It’s true that they make left handed AR’s but you can shoot a regular left handed. I have 6 and shoot left handed. I am shooting 5.56, 300BO, 224 Valkyrie, and 9mm.If you get brass to the face your ejector is fricked up.

i'm left handed and left eye dominant and having shells ejected at my face is one of my favorite parts of dove and duck hunting. not really an issue rifle hunting, because very rarely am i ejecting a spent shell while i'm still on scope. only if i'm shooting into a bunch of hogs most likely.
i'm sure i could spend money to get some left handed guns, but ain't nobody got time for that.
that being said, i couldn't shoot for shite if it was holding it right handed. i didn't listen to today's arguments, but i'm surprised the defense didn't harp on that more in the past that you'd be a functional tard trying to shoot off handed.

These people proudly display their ignorance of weapons as some sort of a badge of honor. Only the knuckle dragging slacked jawed yokels know anything about guns.
This is literally a repeat of the Salem witch trials. They make up their own fiction as it suits them. And anyone else who shows a modicum of knowledge… Is branded a witch.

Interesting info as I wouldn’t know for sure since I am right handed.
Now, I ask this, if a person target shoots and handles his weapon right handed and even slings it so it’s on the ready for the right side, what would make that same person suddenly raise his weapon left handed to point at someone in a threatening manner?
I don’t think I ever saw him carrying his weapon on his left side. I admit I have not seen all available video.

Not much other than sustaining injury to your right hand or fingers or maybe negotiating a really hairy right corner.
