Lol roadgator on Sunday said he was at church while simultaneously calling others a pussy.

And yet another lie. I did not call you that, you are, while in church.
Why the need to lie about everything?
It’s weird.
Why the need to lie about everything?

Of course you get caught in a lie and log off. Loser

You are just too stupid for your own good.
You can’t even see it.
Maybe it’s that just don’t know what simultaneously means.
Stupid or liar
Pick one
And you lied again.
I did not log off.
Your pathology is fascinating.

I did.
Because you lied.
About me calling you a perjorative (bad word) while I was in church. Blatant lie.
And again by claiming I logged off and ran away. Another blatant lie.
Your lies lead to more lies out of frustration and by getting triggered.
I understand why people ou must resort to lying. No big deal.
I point them out to help you get better. My admonishments will be more kind.
Did you just log off and run away? Tsk tsk. Doing what you lied about me doing. Sad.

Actually - this is a pretty good take on your part!! The only flaw here is that the person who suffers from these low-lifes aborting their children are the aborted children who are killed.

quote:You are. You are saying that since you are not persuaded, that those proofs demonstrate there is a God, or the biblical God, or that the Bible is true, that they are not evidence or proof at all. You are discounting the logical proofs entirely, and I suspect it's because philosophy isn't your strong suit. You seem to be looking for empirical evidence only, rather than moral or logical evidence.
I am not conflating the two.
quote:You continue to misunderstand this. The Bible doesn't teach that everyone has an active, guiding knowledge of God that they would say, "sure, I believe that the God of the Bible exists, but I just hate Him". It's a suppressed knowledge, usually paired with self-deception. John Calvin referred to it as a sense of divinity that every person has, which is more of an intuition than a head knowledge and assent.
You, however, seem to be acknowledging I am not persuaded, and therefore are admitting I legitimately and genuinely do not believe in things that I am not persuaded actually exist. So Bravo. I’m glad you admitted to it.
quote:First, a proof is nothing more than something that establishes the validity of a claim, as Webster's defines (3rd definition). These proofs are comprised of logical argumentation, but the proof is the entirety of the argumentation. The premises are logically defended and support a greater statement of a truth claim. So again, just because you aren't persuaded by them doesn't mean they aren't proofs. A proof doesn't persuade everyone, just like "undeniable evidence" in court is often times denied.
But your chatbot list are all arguments. Fallacious arguments. Not evidence, and not proof. And they aren’t even arguments for your deity. The Kalam argument doesn’t argue for Yahweh Sabaoth, the war deity of the Shasu/Midianite/Edomite peoples that was adopted by the Israelites and merged with El and Baal that you call “God”. It argues for “a” supernatural creator or creators, not Yahweh. So it’s fallacious to say the universe was created by a god and therefore we know that it was created by Yahweh. It’s also fallacious on its second premise that the universe began to exist. Modern science does not suggest this - no scientists and definitely no big bang cosmologists argue or state that the universe began to exist.
Regarding the claim that those proofs to not prove the Christian God: you are right to a degree. They don't, by themselves, prove that the God of the Bible is the God that those proofs actually prove exists. That's where more argumentation comes in, specifically that only the God of the Bible fits the bill for the God that is necessary in terms of those proofs. I'd argue that the TAG most closely proves the biblical God on its own, but even if additional steps are needed, they still prove the biblical God exists; more explanation is needed to show it, though. Considering that you don't believe any god or deity exists at all means that the bar is pretty low to show that a God exists and then move to the biblical God. But even so, you not believing it does not mean there is no proof. You just refuse to accept the proof that exists.
quote:I'm not hiding. I've addressed those several times in the past and I'd be happy to do so again. I don't want to be further derailed by you, since you can't stick to one line of argumentation, but need to take the shotgun approach and scatter so many different issues to address all over the debate arena that one person can't possibly spend the necessary time to address them all in a satisfactory way, and you claim victory by default. It's a practice of someone who isn't a strong debater, so I'd suggest you stick to one topic at a time.
You can’t hide from the firmament forever, Foo. And you can’t reconcile that plenty of Old Testament dudes saw Yahweh face to face and yet John the apostle tells us no one has ever seen God.

No, I’m not. And I’m not persuaded by bullshite arguments.
quote:

Yes verifiable testable falsifiable evidence. Thank you for using the singular “evidence” - your earlier plural versions make you sound like a retard.
You fail though at even making bullshite arguments, because you don’t finish your arguments. FooLaneCraig’s Kalam argument stops at some kind of supernatural deity and doesn’t preclude there being many deities. How does Kalam turn into “and because of that, I know that it is Yahweh the war god of the Shasu”? The Kalam can just as much be used as the start of an argument for Allah, Ahura Mazda, or thousands of other make believe deity characters. Why won’t you ever answer that question? We know why.

So again, just because you aren't persuaded by them doesn't mean they aren't proofs.
Well they don’t introduce certainty, your sour bullshite claims - arguments - don’t qualify.

Not to a degree. It is a fact. Refreshing to see you being something approaching honest.

More nonsense. All the other religions are going to make the same style of arguments in favor of their imaginary creator deities. They’re just arguments and baseless assertions that defy basic scientific knowledge.

You’re hiding. You hate biblical cosmology. You hate that even at the time of the New Testament authors - at a time the Greeks knew the earth was a sphere - the NT authors wrote stories of being able to see the entire world from a single high point.
Speaking of stick, you hate that too. The Jesus in Mark says take nothing except a stick. The Jesus in Matthew says not to take a stick. Save Greek verb “to take”.
You have a dogma. You’ve been programmed. You don’t care about the Bible or the truth of your reality. You choose to live in a fantasy bubble. And you’re dishonest and condone evil. Sick.

My general policy is to ignore you, but I'm breaking my own rule here.
Abductive reasoning is completely valid and used in science all the time.
Without it the entire field of theoretical physics wouldn't exist, nor would about 80% of the surgical procedures that exist (it's not ethical to run a double blind controlled study on a heart procedure, for example). Engineering would exist, but would be significantly more limited than it is now. Not to mention bioinformatics (any informatics, really), AI development, etc.
Call the examples of abductive reasoning he's listed arguments if you want; that doesn't mean they are invalid. Implying that they are is just the latest load of BS you have slung around here.

They are arguments, and fallacious arguments at that. Many or most are circular and presuppose the conclusion in the premise. None of them even attempt to explain how the argument provides evidence for the “Christian God”.
Take the William Lane Craig special.
1. Everything that poofs into existence from nothingness has a cause.
2. The universe poofed into existence from nothingness.
3. Therefore the universe has a cause.
Now I’ve explained dozens of times to you idiots that literally no scientist claims to support the idea that the universe began to exist (matter and energy created from nothingness). This doesn’t stop non-scientists who don’t know their arse from a hole in the ground from asserting that their God poofed the universe into existence ex nihilo.
Foo’s AI list of fallacies don’t ever connect to Yahweh. The Kalam fallacy stops at the universe having a cause. It doesn’t then follow that the cause is Yahweh, the storm deity of the Midianites and Shasu tribes of the Sinai. The Kalam fallacy was created by the medieval Muslims in Persia to argue for the creation of the world by Allah.
quote:
Implying that they are is just the latest load of BS you have slung around here.
I’m not implying they are invalid. I’m explicitly, not implicitly, stating that they are erroneous and fallacious and even if there was any merit to any of them, not a single one logically follows that the creator must be a timeless, bodiless, causeless, omnipotent, omnipresent, omnibenevolent, perfect, spaceless deity comprised of three co-equal co-eternal persons comprising the same substance, in which one subservient co-equal person didn’t seek to become equal to the dominant co-equal person, but emptied himself taking on the form of a slave so that he could be killed and resurrected thereby defeating sin and death while sin and death have been continuing for 2000 years after they were supposed to end.
All of you - you should be honest with yourselves and others on this site. Admit you have faith in a supernatural realm that cannot be tested or proven, and for which no evidence exists. You just believe. And you have faith in the truth and historicity of an ancient collection of writings originally recorded on clay tablets and goat skins, even though modern science proves they are mythology. It’s dumb, but at least it would be honest.

No, I’m not. And I’m not persuaded by bullshite arguments.
quote:You admit, then, that you are adhering to a purely empiricist epistemology. That's a self-defeating epistemology because you can't know that for sure through verifiable, testable, falsifiable evidence. You can only assert it without observing it. More proof of your irrationality.
Yes verifiable testable falsifiable evidence.
quote:I have answered that. The point isn't that all those arguments BY THEMSELVES prove the biblical God's existence. They are minimal arguments and proofs that are then expanded upon to show how Allah and other "gods" do not fit the bill for what comports with reality. More importantly for this conversation, they are good enough proofs and arguments to counter your atheism, and demand for "proof" and "evidence". They are logical and philosophical proofs and evidences. I don't have to show that they each and individually prove the God of the Bible, only that they disprove your irrational atheism, which was my point all along.
You fail though at even making bullshite arguments, because you don’t finish your arguments. quote:Again, certainty (persuasion) is based on the individual. The truth is in the argument and proof. There are many people who believed O.J. didn't kill his wife and her boyfriend even though the evidence was overwhelming and conclusive. You are one of those irrational people whose biases won't allow the truth to be persuasive.
Well they don’t introduce certainty, your sour bullshite claims - arguments - don’t qualify.
quote:I'm always honest. You just don't know the difference between disagreement and "lies". And my point here was what I repeated above: those arguments are not intended to prove the Christian, Biblical God, but to provide a necessary starting point that disproves atheism.
Not to a degree. It is a fact. Refreshing to see you being something approaching honest.
quote:"Everything I don't agree with is baseless nonsense". You should write a book. I just gave you the title.
More nonsense. All the other religions are going to make the same style of arguments in favor of their imaginary creator deities. They’re just arguments and baseless assertions that defy basic scientific knowledge.
Other religions can claim what they wish. The first step is to show that a deity exists necessarily, which those proofs and arguments do. The next step is to show how only the Biblical God can exist according to reality as we know it and the claims of the different religions. When you perform an internal critique of the other belief systems like Islam, you see that Allah cannot exist according to the own religion's claims. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter for you. Your atheism is still irrational.

Of all the teachings and lessons and guidance given to us by God and Jesus Christ, how did abortion ever become one that so many MEN are so passionate about?
I don't see anyone calling for outlawing adultery. Using the Lord's name in vein. Not honoring their mother and father.
You don't want a woman aborting your seed then don't knock up a skank.
Then stop obsessing about the results of other people fricking.

quote:Whether you think I'm also doing this or not, this is certainly what you are doing. You are the one saying there is absolutely no evidence to support the existence of God. You don't even understand the concept of evidence, and why it's factually incorrect for you to make such a claim of lack of evidence, just because you are not persuaded by them.
This kind of shite is your confession of your own faults attempting to project onto others.
quote:I see. So you only accept evidence that already conforms to your limited standard. That's why no one can get anywhere with you in these discussions. You completely change the meaning of the word "evidence" to mean only that which supports your strict (and self-defeating) empirical standard.
Conflating fallacious arguments with real evidence
We aren't talking about the scientific method, here. Truth claims are not all judged empirically, and the more you write, the more it is evident that you have no clue what you're talking about.
