Cancel Culture is a judgement attack via Radicals towards Conservatives. First and/or second salvos are being fired from the Left in the lionshare of these cases.
Turning away from a product that libels you with gross generalized mislabeling, by using your financial support against you via support of Marxist organizations, be they(the Leagues) unaware or not. Is just smart social, emotional, and financial self-defense.
Nobody here is out to doxx and cancel Pro ball with organized malice and groundswell efforts..as seen by Radicals so often.
Just passively prudently abstaining.

I am watching right now. I love baseball and I am not taking away something I enjoy to prove a point.

Had no idea it started so...

I'm told major League baseball starts today. Are you gonna capitulate and watch it or be a damn man and boycott. Too many conservatives fold like a cheap suit.
I was going to watch and I am not particularly a baseball fan. But I heard they were promoting terrorism and putting BLM on the mound. So no I will not be watching at all.

Well, you're not intelligent, so your opinion doesn't carry any weight.

Nah it’s simpler than that. The leagues have never been political, all they’ve ever actually wanted is your money. Full stop. Does anybody really think the NFL went from super pro military to pro BLM in 5-6 years??? Come on.
What’s happened is the leagues have done the math and decided (for better or worse) that they can’t be silent on some political issue anymore, it’ll hurt their PR/image/marketing, etc. and ultimately their bottom line more. They believe the fans/$ they’ll lose (If they stay silent) will outweigh those they lose by speaking out. They’re also betting you’ll eventually forgive and come back (the “boycott” type), which for many will absolutely be true.
It’s why they trot out all that pink shite in October, they don’t actually give a shite about your sick aunt W breast cancer, never did. Just do enough to let people believe they’re “doing good”. Corporations do stuff like this all the time.
The truth is the owners have never been political (still aren't) and never wanted to be, why would they, it makes no business sense ostracizing part of their audience. Not unless the gain outweighs the loss. Maybe the left forced their hand, sure, blame them for that. But the owners priorities never changed, and they were never about anything other than our money. If you’re a grown man and don’t have clear eyes about that at this point, I don’t know what to tell you.

How is not watching, cancel culture?
I'm not telling them not to play the game. I'm not going to contribute to a group that hates my country.

I've always been aware of that, and agree.

I’m smart enough to not stop watching something I love to prove a political point. You on the other hand, should stop watching Auburn football because they support BLM.

I was looking forward to MLB this year, especially since college baseball was shuttered. Oh well, there’s hockey, and rodeo still. I’m not watching one second of any sport or program pulling this shite. I’m neither a marxist, nor a racist, so I will oppose this shite to the end. I haven’t missed the NFL for the last 4 years, and I won’t miss any of this bullshite either.

It depends. Did you watch the game consistently before you disagreed with a political stance?
Posted on 7/23/20 at 7:05 pm to SEC7070
How do you know MLB started today?

quote:bullshite, I fricking love sports and looked forward, in my recent retirement, to practically living on LSU campus for home games in all sports and the Superdome on Sundays. I refuse, however, to support a university or professional sports organization that has told me that my opinion means nothing, as they bend over and throw money at an organization that would have me eliminated.
It’s when it comes after something you like, that’s when people complain about it.
In my opinion, you have to draw the line somewhere.

I can't believe i've never heard this. I enjoyed how triggered they were.

I think you’re missing my point. That thing wasn’t specifically LSU, it was the cause, in this case BLM.
You want that cause canceled because it doesn’t align, therefore you want LSU to pay, you’re exactly who I’m talking about.
