The Tea Party Movement grew to become the MAGA movement. Trump has lost touch; he’s still out here defending vaccines that don’t work at all because he wants to take credit for Warp Speed. Someone else more tapped into normal people’s frustrations with the system will grow the movement further. It was never about Trump, and Trump fully believes it was.

So is Trump literally our only hope?

I mean, if DeSantis is part of the cabal, everyone else outside of Trump most certainly is.

My problem with this “Big Ugly” theory. It’s unfalsifiable. If DeSantis is owned then we can’t tolerate him. Period. If Trump is the only savior then nothing Trump does or says can be construed as unelectable.

It’s a flawed theory.

The only way you can make progress is by moving forward on testable, falsifiable hypotheses. If Trump fricks up he should be held accountable. If DeSantis does he as well.

We can’t have a theory that makes Trump untouchable, or DeSantis a non-sequitur. If Trump is unhinged we MUST be allowed to say it. If it makes him a lesser candidate - or even worse, actually HELPS Dems fire up their base and win elections and play Jan 6 on repeat on MSNBC - we should be able to consider it.

DeSantis should be allowed to prove he can operate politically to advance conservatism while also getting elected (the latter of which he has certainly proved). Maybe DeSantis can navigate getting donors while articulating conservatism. Maybe he would be better at swinging independents our way so that we could build momentum.

Or not. But a theory of Trump or Die or “everyone is bad except Trump” is flawed.

Also a very salient point. This movement is pre-Trump.

"
He built 4 miles. Replaced some fencing. And for that he earned unyielding loyalty."

Trumps administration built 450 miles of wall either reinforcing, new , or replacing. Stop lying .

458 miles, yes a lot was upgraded but most of the border had some kind of fence anyway

Your link says what I said earlier, that most of his fence was just replacement fencing. "The vast majority of the 458 miles were constructed in places where some kind of barrier already existed"

He built a total of 49 miles of new fencing. (Not a big beautiful wall btw)

"Forty-nine miles of new barrier were constructed, according to Customs and Border Protection."

Weird, I figured it out pretty early. Most here did but not Trump I guess.

So my point still stands, Trump was too dumb to realize Fauci was burning him, while all of America saw it with their own two eyes.

That still doesn't explain how a POTUS has the power to change the Constitution.

The idea that illegal immigrants can have their kids here and those kids are citizens isn't in the Constitution. It's in a footnote of a Supreme Court decision from 1982. It's not part of the decision but a judicial dicta. Which means that it's not binding in any way.

Trump was aware of that and was going to issue an Executive Order but just dropped it.

The commission met multiple times. It was disbanded after multiple states refused to give the information the commission asked for and after Chuck Schumer threatened to withhold funding.

Good thing he dropped it. Wouldn't want a fight, surely 2020 is going to go smoothly. No big deal.

quote:

You keep saying "Unyielding Loyalty", is that the new CIA talking point to discourage support for President Trump?

Got me.

This is how you guys always win. Everyone who disagrees is a "suppressive person" and you can just wipe away all dissent. Never having to examine Trump's failures. You guys have created a cult.

This is me btw, caring about the only thing I care about, immigration. Trying to get others to see what was happening. Crickets.

Trump Admin on Immigration recently

DHS releases 84.5K illegals into the US this yr

Amnesty invasion: Over 750K work permits handed out to largely bogus asylum applicants

I'm more MAGA than anyone here. That's why I think Trump sucks. Because he's not close to MAGA. He's a cartoon character that still has some of you believing he's fighting the good fight. He raises $100 million dollars for the midterms and spends $15 million. He has Brad Parscale stealing millions from you guys. His organization is overrun by open borders hacks.

Bush/Obama built 650 miles. Trump replaced 400 miles of fencing and built almost 50 new miles of fencing. That's an accomplishment to you? That's why you love him?

Here's a better question. What's happening on our border right now? Is Trump's big beautiful wall stopping millions from entering the country?

He spent four years failing, your links blow by the way.

Anyone who read all that and didn't drop 3 IQ points should get an award.

Everybody can not self fund their campaign like Trump claimed (lie obviously).

You guys should like Bill Gates for President. He could actually self fund and was a major contributor to operation warp speed. Gates and Trump where probably the 2 keys players in getting us such an effective jab. And he could put a chip in your brain so he could brainwash you ultra maga fast.

It’s alarming and slightly entertaining the lengths to which guys that swear by Trump’s toughness make sorry F’n excuses like this one.

You didn’t have to be an MD to know that the virus was being overhyped like hell. You don’t have to be Jesus to know it was simply retarded at best, and counterproductive at worst, to lockdown for a virus that was hell only on the really old and already really unwell. A virus that was so “awful” that over half those “hospitalized”for it didn’t know they had it or were experiencing only mild symptoms. You didn’t have to be a super genius to know the whole shitshow was all about politics and power and money and the 2020 election.

Trump failed. He laid down for the very people/organizations some of you are all obsessively scared control DeSantis.

Fact: Trump was very good to the establishment. He came from the establishment. He helped make the establishment more powerful and wealthier.

I don't think the author of the OP's intentions are only Trump.

The intention is to show the shell game before the same thing-insanity (Romney, GWBush) is repeated.

With PA, NV, AZ, GA, and almost WI, no non dem has a chance. McConnell, McCarthy, McDaniel allowed the mess. It is obvious that McConnell wanted the D- Mark Kelly to win. They locked down MI. and no way DeSantis takes MI much less PA or the rustbelt.

As I have said all along we need Plan B. DeSantis is not running he is a bluff for 2024. If you read the full context of Sundance. It is laid out how to win at this stage. in the States that the dems hijacked.

It will cost a lot of money the establishment won't spend no matter how many times they move the deck chairs of McConnell's caucus-- they are all dirty.

The chamber of commerce won't allow us to do early mail in ballots in PA to compete. Or truly clean up AZ. Because they will not allow a house freedom member or Rand Paul to take the reins.

Kevin is a mole, worse than a snake. Trump needs to endorse Lake or someone else. Lake is who they fear but she would have to say it is an emergency she is running for President so early. And the States need cleaned up.

We need a surprise dark horse with frick you money. Or a Lake that a few billionaires will pay her 100 million in lawyer fees.

It is so embarrassing watching AZ. It is a mess.

The guy that was the chair before Reince in pn MSNBC cheering for dems.

Why isn't Romney-McDaniel, McConnell, McCarthy, being surely slated to be fired yesterday?

The spread of the cancer needs to be given direct chemo here first

Maybe Trump as Speaker and Ric Grenell as President with Lake as VP?

Trump is the first president in a century to lose the House, Senate and White House. That’s a fact.

Meanwhile, Biden’s first midterm performance for president is one of the best in modern history: Only in 1934 (FDR), 1962 (JFK), 2002 (Bush) did the president’s party not lose Senate seats and fewer than 10 House seats. That’s another fact.

Say whatever you like in your wall of text but Trump is done. Finis. Toast. Dead. Done. Stick a fork in him.

But WHY did Trump lose and WHY did Biden win?
It is an aberration that doesn’t make sense.

And he knows it. Check out his Truth Social. I’ve honestly never seen a bigger melt by any other politician. Attacking Youngkin, Desantis. The Republican Party. Move on.

You will never convince me that if we went to all paper ballot systems with NO MAIL IN, that this would have happened and you know it.

Anyone pushing for Desantis over Trump for 2024 is falling for UniParty bullshite all…over…again.

Maybe Elon will run? Can you think of someone to run with frick you money & Trump as economic geo political advisor? Trump as Speaker?

Abortion is a settled issue where it should have been- STATES RIGHTS. But the dems got the ruling as a gift for a narrative because they have nothing else.

Trump’s interests aligned with the people for a while. Now they do not.

He had a chance to fix things. He spent all his energy on tweets and foreign policy.
