“It’s going to take years to build all of these manufacturing facilities’”

So here’s the new liberal talking point.
“The tariffs aren’t going to help Americans today because it’s going to take years to build all of these so called manufacturing facilities”
My question:
Do liberals honestly believe that that the manufacturing facilities are just magically going to get built through AI?
When a new building is being built… are those not considered construction and trade jobs that build these facilities? Or am I just another MAGA Hitler loving, black hating racist for thinking this?

Then Biden should have started it.

I mean... it will take a while before these operations are up and running... Should have been doing it decades ago instead of exporting jobs hoping for a 1% uptick in share price

Then why did we pass the CHIPS act after all it’s taking years to onshore all the fab manufacturing facilities.

Depends on what it is too.
For example, Trump ut tariffs on washing machines in early 2018. By the end of that year both Samsung and LG began operations. Samsung was like in 6 months time.

Oh well, might as well give up and let the whole world frick the American people for the rest of eternity

Exactly. These manufacturing facilities will take years to be built and who will want to make that long term investment based on Trump's tariffs which aren't guaranteed to be there past Trump's term in office.

Pointing out that massive manufacturing facilities take time to build isn't a liberal talking point. It's pointing out a very obvious fact. And yes a lot of trade jobs are created during the construction. I'm part of teams that build industrial manufacturing facilities so it helps with the job market in my profession. I'm all for building the shite out of as many large scale industrial facilities as possible. No one is against that.

Its going to take a bunch of magic wands. Multiple magic wands.

Because it's critical infrastructure
You don't just not do something because it takes a while to do

Do democrats not realize that there are thousands of moth balled manufacturing facilities sitting abandoned all over America?
I have started manufacturing facilities from the ground up and after the building was in our possession (either after construction of a new facility or purchasing an empty warehouse) - it still takes a lot of employees to actually install all of the equipment, etc.
So yea, the facilities might not start actually producing material instantly but the jobs creation is pretty instant during the setup of these facilities

When the red tape is removed it will happen quicker.

Great point. We have a giant General Motors factory in Shreveport that’s ready to start churning out goods immediately. Obama bailed out GM and let them close their domestic production of the Chevy Colorado and the Hummer.

Changing 75 years of deep state theft and the selling out of America isn’t gonna happen over night.
