I can go back and show you several negative posts I made back when Trump busted the move against Iran, my general criticism was the timing for the attack on Iran was terrible. I have always believed the confrontation between the West and Islam was inevitable but I also believe Trump should have been focusing on domestic policies and if the need to attack Iran was unavoidable do it after the midterms.
One thing I've never seriously consider is sitting out the midterms or ever voting for a Democratic Socialist candidate. I hear people on various media sources who claim to be conservatives saying they're done with Trump/MAGA/America First and they're either sitting out the midterms or possibly voting for "moderate Democratic Socialist" candidates.
I could be mistaken but I think there are a few "conservatives" on this forum who say they may be sitting out the midterms or considering candidates who are not affiliated with the Republican Party.
The worst thing you'll likely ever get with Trump is what we're currently experiencing, but over time, most if not all of the displeasure and disruptions with Trump 2.0 will pass with little to no negative impact on the US. On the other hand when the Democratic Socialist have power they seem to have the ability to pass legislation that keeps their Democratic Socialism/Marxism agenda moving forward, albeit incrementally, but forever changing the economic and societal norms in the US.
So all the weak kneed "conservatives" can do what they think is the right thing to do with regards to the midterms but ol BT will vote a straight R ticket because the most flaccid Recucklican is always better than the most faux centrist Democratic Socialist candidate.

100%
But there are people who call themselves conservatives who will be duped by Democratic Socialist candidates who are attempting to pass themselves off as Christian centrist Democrats. There are several of these slimy Democratic Socialists spending big bucks running political ads in the KC metro claiming they are "old school Democrats" and people of faith.

I’ve been using the term “rightists” in place of the term “conservatives,” particularly how the latter is so often used interchangeably today for many different situations, such as in this context for example. Leftists vs rightists.

Who has said they're sitting out the mid-terms?

It’s not an unreasonable assumption to make considering the extent of shite talking many of these same folks do towards many very notable Republicans, the Republican President for starters.

In this scenario, i will never vote leftist.

It's hard to know what is perception versus reality, at this point, and which is more driving the other.

Weak kneed, or living in reality?
If there was nothing to be concerned about you wouldn't see so many people screaming that there's nothing to be concerned about.
A war in Iran that nobody wants.
$5 Gas
$7 Diesel
Home prices out of control
7.5% Mortgage Rates
Food Prices skyrocketing
Healthcare costs skyrocketing
Regarding Midterms you better hope for best & prepare for the worst.

Stop voting for Republicans. Research and vote for the candidate. Republicans suck. I haven’t voted the “party line” in the last 25 years and I wouldn’t start now. They’re awful. Complete control of congress and they did nothing.

You “vote for the candidate” in primaries. But when it comes to the general, you’re either going to vote for the Democrat agenda or the Republican agenda, depending on which candidate you vote for. That’s simply the reality of the situation. So I guess pick your agenda for your general election decision.

I didn't bookmark anyone on this forum but it seems I've read some posts here that indicate several people are done with Trump/MAGA/America First and in general, the Republican Party. You can go search Youtube and find a few vids where people are turning away from the Republican Party and looking at the DSA for the answer, most of these people are under age 40. Are these vids legit or are they fabricated to boost the hype for the DSA in the upcoming midterms? Who knows.
I guess one could do a poll type OP and ask how many people who have voted for Trump 3 times will be either sitting out the 2026 midterms or voting for someone not affiliated with the Republican Party?

I have little doubt we are living in a time where a spirit of chaos and confusion is working overtime.

I’m sure he doesn’t get whatever it is that you personally “get,” because you haven’t said what you “get”.
