It's all about the Strait of Hormuz and Iran selling oil

Trump should present his peace offer (which includes replacement of leadership) and advise they have 5 days to accept, otherwise the USA will completely obliterate the Iranian coast (up to 30 miles inland) along the entire Strait and level Kharg Island.

Every silly idea about this conflict is based on the naive idea that the Iranians are incapable of retaliating. Or in this case why would they even wait to retaliate if they're given an ultimatum on such a timeline?

How about, I just don't care about the Straight of Hormuz. We have a ton of oil here. Sounds like a much bigger problem for Europe and the Arabs. Let them deal with it.

IEA nations have committed to releasing a total of 400 million barrels of oil from strategic reserves to combat increased energy prices. Of that 400 million they've already released about 290 million or 75% of what they believe is the limit. The Chinese have drastically reduced oil imports because they have much larger reserves than any other nation. These factors that are making energy cheaper can not go on indefinitely. If Iran can maintain control of the strait for an extended period of time then strategic reserves start hitting critical levels where IEA nations won't be as eager to offer relief.
The Chinese have reduced their imports cumulatively by roughly 400+million barrels to date because they've been running off of their own reserves.
Global oil prices are significantly higher than pre war levels despite roughly 700 million barrels of demand being removed from the system. Turn those spigots off and the price would necessarily trend upward.

Nothing says “let’s revolt against our government” like starving citizens who know the leaders are living high on the hog and thinking only of themselves in dealings with the United States, while now even more starving.
