That was sort of the waning era of when killer undergrad grades from even a big state school and knocking an LSAT out the park could get a random lower class midwest white kid into Yale Law without much else.
Assuming he killed it in both undergrad and on the LSAT somehow seems a bit more believable than Obama doing so, but I guess the publicly available info for each is about similarly nil.

The book really took off before Howard got involved in making a movie.
I had heard about the book, but I had thought it was more a sociological type discourse than just a memoir.
