It's why judicial appointments are SO important. They have lifetime appointments and "good" judges can keep constitutional guardrails tight to maintain the objective of the constitution in tact no matter who sits in the seat of the presidency. That is Trump's long term legacy and I'm okay with him following Federalist Society recommendations like he did in his first term.

I understand why Trump brought in JD. Billionaire money. His campaign needs the money.
Thiel and Elon believe they have a conduit to the White House now.
They very well may have a conduit to the White House via JD but that does not mean Trump will listen to them. He could because he approves of the idea, but he could ignore them because he hates the idea.
Generally speaking, that's the good news concerning Trump. Most of the time he's his own man. He may or may not take your advice but in the end it's going to be his decision.
