It appears an additional warrant was issued allowing the FBI to install "Pen Registers"

I won't pretend to understand this or what it means but I thought some here might find it interesting and maybe some of our FBI "guests" here can weigh in.

"US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart signed both the search warrants allowing FBI Agents to raid President Trump's home and the warrant for "Pen Registers" on Trump computers and electronic eavesdropping devices in Trump's home."

On August 5,2022 as shown above in video.

It doesn’t take 12 hours to find a box of paper in a locked room you already know where it is.

They bugged the place. Clearly

And these frickers still have the audacity to draw allusions between Nixon and Trump…

They’re spying on Trump again, just like Obama did. This is breathtaking corruption all while they roll out their dog and pony show about applying the rule of law evenly to everyone.

"Pen Registers"
"Pen Registers" are wiretaps, perhaps limited to numbers called, and numbers of calls received, but wiretaps nonetheless.

If a low-level magistrate signed such an order against an ex-POTUS, he should be removed from his position immediately.

Do we know for sure if MAL security actually turned them off or not? I've heard they said no initially, but not sure if they were "convinced" otherwise.

Jonathan Turley was surprised a magistrate took this on, other than Turley knows why this magistrate did it but Turley never gets into that fray, He said a section 3 judge should have been approached by the FBI, or the Magistrate should have called one in to handle the requests.

Did he say why?

True pen registers are used to identify the number dialed (but not the content of) in an outgoing phone call.

Now the term is a bit of a catch all, but an electronic pen register on a computer should record the to, cc, bcc, and from addresses in an email, but not the subject line, body, or any attachments.

My guess is though that in reality, federal pen register software captures everything.

Obama did exactly what Nixon tried to do with the breakin, spy on his political enemy.

Biden is doing it in the open. And "journalists" are clapping like seals.

It's a disgusting decent into corruption.

Basically said a magistrate judge is too low on the judge scale to make a decision concerning a former president, but said it so much more eloquently of course...

Crooks quickly became familiar with the law of minimization and would frequently spend the first five minutes of each conversation discussing the weather or some other innocent subject, only to discuss business after police had minimized. Police are now allowed to spot-monitor calls after minimizing. After the call is minimized, they may briefly check in to determine if the call has become pertinent. They may repeat this process on a regular basis during the call’s duration, and police are allowed more latitude at the beginning of a wiretap. After conversation patterns are established, police are expected to be more efficient in their minimization practices.

Each monitored phone call or portion thereof must, under the statute, be recorded.10 Additionally, the recordings must be preserved, and a copy will ultimately be filed with the court at the termination of the wiretap. Keep in mind that the recordings will not just produce evidence that the State may use in court. The recordings will also show the monitoring officer’s minimization practices, providing fodder for possible suppression of the wiretap.

Pen registers and trap and trace devices
A pen register or trap and trace device, unlike a wiretap, does not require a finding of probable cause.11 The application must simply state under oath that the installation and use of the device will likely produce information material to an ongoing investigation. The application must further identify the telephone subscriber and the relevant phone number and carrier. The application may be reviewed by a district court judge in the jurisdiction of the requesting agency, the location of the device, telephone subscriber, or communications carrier.

I would think Trump has very high level layered security. They probably turned off the obvious resort level security but I would be surprised if they didn’t have a higher level hidden system.

The fact that the DoJ had to shop this to such a low level position should clearly show how underhanded this all was.

Kimberly Guilfoyle to Newsmax: FBI May Have Planted 'Listening Devices'
quote:

"They didn't allow anybody to supervise what they were doing, and they specifically requested to turn off the security cameras," Guilfoyle, the fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., told Wednesday's "Prime News" with Jenn Pellegrino. "Why? Because they didn't want to be caught with what they were doing. How do you know there weren't listening devices planted or evidence planted there?

"It's something that has to be investigated and checked out, and we want to see the affidavit and what was their probable cause to be able to go in there and break into the president's home."

quote:

"So these people, their worst living nightmare is President Trump back in the White House. Well, it's about to happen."

Has Hank arrived yet to scold us all for being outraged by this obviously gross abuse of power?

Has he come to tell us that this is standard operating procedure, and an essential investigative step taken even in the most banal and routine federal probes?

The Trump lawyer that was on site during the raid was on Laura Ingram last night. She said the cameras were not turned off, and Trump’s people in NYC were watching live everything that happened in the house. She was very, very good, she would only comment on what she actually knew, would not speculate, and did not let Laura read anything into what she had said.
