Midterms are fricked for Republicans whether or not Bart O'Kavanaugh gets approved.

I dont understand why they dont pull the nom, back up and punt to the next candidate, rather than digging in and dragging this out. doesnt make sense, imo.

Probably Because the left is going to do this same shite to the next nominee. And the next. And so on.

Moving to the next candidate does no good but to start us all over again, a huge win for the communists. Trump could nominate Barack fricking Hussein Obama and the left would still resist. This is possibly the very last opportunity for the establishment Right to push something through that will keep their base motivated.

Punting would be a monumental misstep. We wouldn't get a nominee confirmed until after Trump is no longer in office if we give in now.

Fighting against bullshite accusations from 35 years ago doesn't make sense? It's not just about kavanaugh, it's about denying the radical leftist liberals the precedent of being able to screw someone out of a nomination with completely false sexual assault allegations. If for some reason they are able to keep Kav out of the SC, they will use these tactics for any and all future political races, nominations, etc because they would have precedent. Kav is more than qualified to be on the Supreme Court and we will not back down to the left's bullshite.

The decision makers probably have kids. Usually, when you present children with a choice they hate, they will throw a tantrum. If you back off and offer an alternative they also hate, they'll take the previous win and double down.

Short answer, it's better not to negotiate with irrational children.

You don't stop a bully from taking your lunch money by giving him your lunch money. He'll just be back the next day for more.

Have a backbone. We can hope that Republicans are finally learning that appeasing gets them nowhere.

Perhaps, but, if you're about get your arse whipped by 3 men..........it's still preferable to getting it kicked by 10.

Latest polls show otherwise - Republican Party at higher favorability rating than it has been for years. What are you libtards going to do when your blue wave disintegrates in a sea of red?
