Is it just me or is AOC a viable candidate in 2028?

AOC rips the mask off of the moderate facade and gives their base what they want, race baiting and full blown “Democratic” socialism. She is closer to Trump politics in the way she attacks the other side without playing the “decency” card. Women voters, young voters, and Hispanics would turn out for her. She is also attractive and sex sells in America.
I am not sure why she would be considered to be weak if the people laughing at her were never voting for her anyway.

It's just you. A liberal woman from New York City is not a viable national candidate.

She should get out and meet people from all over the country. Then, she will realize how out of touch she is....maybe.

Why not? Hillary was a liberal woman from New York and we sweated that one out.

They’re trying to make her to be one.
I watched a clip of her at Warnock’s black church. She’s trying, but she just doesn’t have the charisma or the charm to pull it off yet.
She’s may get there in the future, but she’s still pretty rough around the edges as a national retail politician.

Rog and SFP have been warning that populism is going swing left when young people don't get what they want from Trump. But, she is so dumb I don't think she can win a general. An interesting question is, does the DNC really see her as enough of a threat to the establishment that they would undercut her like Bernie?

Two years is plenty of time to workshop her into something else. I think her getting traction is closer to Trump in 2016 than people want to admit.

Backed by Satan
A lawyer
A Former First Lady
A Former Secretary of State
A Former Senator
AOC has 3 things going for her

-Can make me an old fashioned

I’ve said it once before, never underestimate the stupidity of the American public. Yes she is a viable candidate.
You are right, the idiots will turn out to vote for her.

Liberals are crazy for sure, and many of those crazies would love AOC.
But for a Democrat to win, they have to get unions, Rust Belt blue collar workers, etc., and she is not palatable to them.
That's why they had to pull out Biden in 2020, because a pliable white male is the perfect candidate for them.

Didn’t she audition to run in 2018? I think she is clay for her handlers.

For all his flaws Bill Clinton was popular. Hillary was living off that to some degree.

I don’t think Hillary’s base of white women and minorities gave a shite about Bill Clinton. The donors, maybe.

For Democrats, she would have a following, but it would likely just be the Bernie Bro wing of the party. Although it is bigger than it was 10 years ago, it isn't big enough to carry her past the primaries.

That's a pretty stupid comment. I despise Hillary, but she was a political powerhouse in her day. And not from New York. And not a liberal wackjob.

I don't think it would end well for her tho...

She's a better spoken but not as bright nor as personable a speaker as Bernie. Bernie comes across as a crazy old man with bad ideas, but a crazy old man who cares.
AOC comes across as a more dramatic version of Alicia Silverstone's character in Clueless, but without the charm. The entitlement mentality and faux intelligence combined with a deep-seated belief in her own moral superiority doesn't make for an endearing candidate. She's like a less-drunk and more energetic Kamala Harris.
