ESPN is a complete mess.

Disney better divest themselves of this boat anchor before it severely damages Disney's brand.

Forget about the cop killing for a second. Why THE HELL is ESPN publishing poems about "the new feminism" in the first place? I can't wait to see that awful, odious network fail. Thank heavens for FS1.

It is absolutely astounding that Jamele Hill escaped the layoffs. If there was one person that deserved to go, one personality that causes me to avoid watching ESPN, it's Hill. Stephen A Smith already left for Fox.

EDIT: Stephen A Smith is still there, I meant Skip Bayless. Stephen A is up near the top of the "worst" list, but is at least sometimes impartial. Jamele Hill is completely insufferable.

No no no according to the other thread about ESPN firing 100 people, it has absolutely ZERO to do with any type of political bias.

ZERO do you understand?

Looks like ESPN forgot that poetry is not a sport. But, don't let that stop the agenda!

How many clicks does espnw.com get let alone a poem article on espnw.com?

Apparently they were trying to appeal to women watchers.

Sorry, I meant Skip Bayles. Stephen A is right up there as far as annoyingness, but he at least sometimes sees through the SJW BS. Hill IS the SJW BS.

It really doesn't. No one is cutting the cord specifically because of ESPN's leftist politics. The people who are cutting are mostly not sports fans and weren't watching ESPN to begin with.

Jamele, it's as simple as being pissed that the ESPN many of us "grew up with" no longer exists, won't ever come back, etc. and people hate to see what it has morphed into over the years with the likes of you and that SC6 show.

I'm not going to say it's 100 percent cord cutting, but that is the major reason for losing subscriptions.

You guys do know that being an ESPN on air talking head is a schtick right?

Because I don't think most of you do.

They must think that the "bottom line" means that the goal is to be on the bottom.

Are they unaware that blacks only comprise 12.5% of the population? Who the hell else is this crap going to play well with? Just hardcore SJW's (do they even watch ESPN?) and a certain percentage of blacks.

Talk about a losing strategy.

The political bias is a factor in people not watching but it is very very small factor when compared subscribed loss and money lost on sports rights. While Jemele Hill may be miserable to watch she is right, as long as you have a cable subscription with ESPN they are getting your money. The subscription is the bread and butter of ESPN.
