Considering it was one of NYC's most expensive and classy hotels and my company paid a lot of money for the room, I was disgusted that a maid in the hotel would try to sell her "services" to me.

I didn't tell the hotel what she did but I didn't want any more prostitutes bothering me while I was staying at the hotel so I cancelled the rest of my stay at the hotel and went at my aunt's house instead.

Even if her quote was exactly as stated, isn't it possible she wanted to literally go on a date, especially since she wasn't some random hanging out in places where people seek it out--not to mention since you weren't seeking it out?

The fact that you are so confident that she meant paid sex, and subsequently disgusted by it, really shows how quickly you're willing to jump to conclusions.

Or maybe you have such a negative view of yourself, that you conclude that a person wouldn't just enjoy your company, but instead sees you as a desperate and lonely man willing to pay for some pleasure.

I was a 24 year old young man renting a room in one of the most expensive and classy hotels in NYC.

I was nobody special. She probably propositioned every man she met at the hotel.

It certainly was a great place for her to meet rich men.
