Apparently Georgia fans also have more common sense than other football fans.

Of course I would care, but there are addicts and prostitutes now, are there not?

That's irrelevant.

What's relevant is why you would care.

Why would you care?

I don't view the state as some protective barrier to help me raise my children. I don't point to the law and use that as my excuse. I teach them right and wrong, regardless of the law.

And yet, I would bet some of the things you teach them to do is because it is a law.

In the world today, I am willing to use every tool I had at my disposal to get my kids raised and living in a moral, upright way. Yes. That includes the law. I don't look at the law as an evil thing.

I don't either. There are plenty of legal things that I would not want my kids to do, and plenty of illegal things that I don't consider a big deal.

There are plenty of perfectly legal professions that I would not want my children to do. Adding one more, prostitution, would not even register on my radar.

It's also a ridiculous tactic to use the "what about your kids" line when making an argument.

Laws should be made for the good of the country, not for what I would want for my kids.

I'm for the death penalty. However, if my kid was on death row, my opinion might change.

Also, if I was against the death penalty, my opinion might change if my child was a victim of murder.

Laws should not be made with these emotional thoughts in mind.

But, but, but why don't you want your children to be prostitutes?

Same reason I don't want them to be coalminers or ditchdiggers. It's a shitty profession.

That's not justification for illegality, though.

Laws aren't.

Laws are made to penalize people who victimize innocent people and to make someone think twice before victimizing innocent people.

All, or even most, laws are not made for that reason.

What about prostitution makes you think it is a shitty job?

Really?

Let's start with laws against murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape and fraud.

Why were those laws made?
