Is America a shithole country?

I am on Quora a lot (any of you have accounts?). And the Europeans constantly bash America and how "third-world" we are. A few examples:

1) One European said he was driving in Iowa and ran a stop sign, so a Cop pulled him over. He got out and began walking to the Cop car to hand over his ID and the Cop pulled a gun and went crazy. He said in his country it is customary to approach the Cop out of politeness (so the Cop doesn't have to get out) and lamented how paranoid Cops in America are. He attributed it to our crazy violent crime rate.

2) The Brits (especially) love to brag how their Cops aren't armed and how that works just fine since no one in Britain has guns and the Cops don't have to worry. (Britain does have armed SWAT teams that can be called in emergencies).

3) The Europeans constantly talk about how dumb Americans are. And you know, they're right. We have a lot of very dumb people. They always talk about how Americans are "ignorant of anything outside of America" and they're right about that too.

4) They bash us for being monolingual. "Dumb Americans can only speak English. Here in Europe everyone is bilingual, with many being trilingual." They're right. I only speak one language. I took Spanish in HS and German in college, but I don't remember shite except for "Guten Tag" and "Como Esta."

5) They love to talk about how poor most of America is. They always say "Once you get outside of Manhattan, Beverly Hills or Silicon Valley, America is third-world." And, you know, I can't really argue with them.

6) Their favorite topic of all is our healthcare. They say "Hahaha, Americans still having to pay for healthcare, while ours is totally free." They love to tell stories about their American friends who had full BCBS insurance and still had to pay hundreds of thousands out of pocket for cancer treatment (or something of that sort). They will say "what a barbaric system - people going bankrupt just to get basic medical care."

So I agree America is a shithole country in many ways. Would I move to Europe? I think if PoliBoard put a gun to my head and expelled me from the country I could manage in Britain or maybe Sweden (where people speak English). However, I have no desire to do so on my own. My home's here and I am fine with it. I do wish, however, that a good chunk of our country wasn't third world.
